Politics Democrat speaks truth about Syria, destroy's Obama and Hillary

We're picking sides in a civil war that we helped to start to get an oil pipeline built. Millions of people displaced, raped, killed. We don't want anything to do with these people because they all might be secret spooky terrorists. So lets keep funding the war and destabilizing the region. And this makes sense to you?

It's not that the Syrians are terrorists, I guess some could be, it's the fact that ISIS is infiltrating the Syrian refugee population and then getting to come to USA, or possibly come to the USA.

Russian seems to want to be the lead dog in the fight. I say we let them. It won't turn out good for them and the rest of the middle east can call them the Great Satan.

I Agree.

That's not a realistic fear. Getting into the US as a refugee is much harder than the other ways of getting in - why would a terrorist choose the hard way?

Obama's State/security department disagrees with you. And so does Trump's for that matter...

I don't think even Trump's does. Steve Bannon does, for sure.

I could spend the next 20 minutes copying and pasting you the text and videos of various Obama officials including the ex-CIA Director and DNI Director warning about the possibility for ISIS/ISIL to infiltrate the refugee program....

But, you should probably do it yourself.

I remember when a Syrian infiltrated Oregon politics.

Yep, there's a little tiny statue in the airport commemorating that terrorist attack.

They remodeled their secret clubhouse on SE Division a few years back. No investigation as to where the money came from. Very suspicious.

No, no, you go ahead.

Here's one.

"We judge that ISIL is training and attempting to deploy operatives for further attacks. ISIL has a large cadre of Western fighters who could potentially serve as operatives for attacks in the West. And the group is probably exploring a variety of means for infiltrating operatives into the West, including refugee flows, smuggling routes, and legitimate methods of travel."

Here's another.....

"Intelligence officials have determined that Islamic extremists have explored using the refugee program to enter the United States, they told the head of the Homeland Security Committee.

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) revealed portions of a classified letter from the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) on Monday, which offered new claims not previously disclosed by the Obama administration.

The disclosure could give ammunition to critics of the White House’s refugee plans who have warned that the program is vulnerable to infiltration by adherents of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

The NCTC has identified “individuals with ties to terrorist groups in Syria attempting to gain entry to the U.S. through the U.S. refugee program,” the intelligence agency told McCaul in a letter."

Here's the third.....

“As they descend on Europe, one of the obvious issues that we worry about, and in turn as we bring refugees into this country, is exactly what’s their background?” Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper said. “We don’t obviously put it past the likes of ISIL to infiltrate operatives among these refugees.”

“That is a huge concern of ours,” Mr. Clapper said during a rare and unusually informal public appearance at an annual U.S. intelligence community conference that kicked off Wednesday morning in Washington."

Ok... so doesn't it make it harder for ISIS to infiltrate the refugee program if the national security apparatus already suspects them of doing it?

Are they going to try to hijack planes with boxcutters, now that we are on the lookout for that? Probably not, there are other soft targets.

I mean, if you were a terrorist, how would you enter the country? I know I can think of several ways that would be more likely to succeed.

But terrorists getting in isn't really the problem anyway.

It's that sulky dipshit that lives next door and can't get laid and decides that killing a bunch of people will make the girls notice him.

And even that isn't really that much of a problem. How many people got killed by terrorists last year? How many got killed in car crashes?

You said it wasn't a fear. I said it was, and (it always will be), and proved you wrong by citing Obama's officials remarks about it. Which I guarantee Trump's team still holds those fears. Which is why he said in his campaign speeches he was going to stop the refugee program. And which is also why they are implementing extreme vetting and travel bans.

Not my fault you don't understand.

I didn't say it wasn't a fear. I said it wasn't a realistic fear. Given the security procedures that were in place prior to a few days ago.

You can always deal with a fear by going overboard. Never getting in a car, or being near a road, will prevent you from being killed by a car (unless a tornado picks one up and drops it on you...). Some might think that would be an overreaction, and that one shouldn't prioritize fear over everything else in life.

Like I said, the people in charge beg to differ, and have taken appropriate action. You are far from qualified to make statements like that. So continue to back track, or side step, or pivot, or whatever the fuck you do in BarfoLand™.

The people in charge have taken action. Whether it is appropriate action is a matter of opinion. Obviously people disagree about this, since our policy just changed last week without any significant change in the external situation.

You are far from qualified to make statements like that.

And I suppose you think you are? How is it that you are qualified to say that it was 'appropriate action'?

So continue to back track, or side step, or pivot, or whatever the fuck you do in BarfoLand™.

Likewise, I'm sure.
