This is why it makes it hard for people to root for him. Great player but a bit insufferable with his lack of awareness.
Deni has stressed he is not about politics. Then Netanyahu jumps in. Aside from being embarrassing effusive, there is no reply, including no reply, that would not be seen as political. A simple congratulations is one thing. Making Deni the symbol of a country is another and I am quite sure Netanyahu knew what he was doing.

In this instance? Nothing. But in general it seems like his priority is more to complain about fans for having a say than genocidal maniacs rooting for him on the public stage. I know which one I'd be taking aim at if it were me.???
Wtf did Deni do?
So you directly reply to a quote. Say THIS is why, but then say not this instance but something else? ok.In this instance? Nothing. I would agree if he didn't comment on it, but he commented on it which opens him up to valid criticisms. This place is where we should be able to enjoy our favorite sports team without the garbage of politics. It’s always the same people that can’t understand that. What a shame, there’s an entire OT forum to discuss this. Why can’t we have a place without it is beyond me.
Deni deserves his all star nod, and frankly deserves not to be dragged into the political garbage by effin politicians or the people that decide to propagate their garbage
I was correct. Deni didn't do anything wrong here. But if Osama bin Laden was openly rooting for a a Muslim player in 2001, fans would be turned off by the player right or wrong. So you directly reply to a quote. Say THIS is why, but then say not this instance but something else? ok.
Not sure what is meant by complaining about fans having a say, exactly.
Oh give me a break, what bullshit.Deni has spent more time acting like a victim and calling out fans than directing where his ire should rightfully go. This is easy PR.

He was born from somewhere.???
Wtf did Deni do?
exactly!Absolutely, and they would be wrong as well. Same if fans posted hateful remarks about Egor Demin. He can't control Putin
I know when I travel to Europe, I sure as hell don't want to be held accountable for what Trump does.
Yeah - if the US elects another president similar to Trump we might see some of this change even more in decades ahead where there are issues traveling internationally as a US citizen. I know a lot of international people that now will not travel to the US at this time. They go to Canada or other places. Have plenty of money and they are willing to blow it on fancy trips as well as business opportunities.Absolutely, and they would be wrong as well.
