I do not see those two being a problem. Dame can complement him easily, much like Love does. Jrue can be like a 2nd SG along with Sharpe. (both next to Deni) My question is, how will it work with Scoot? He worked hard on his 3pt shooting this summer, so over time, I think they can play together, but when he comes back this season....... I think there will be some growing pains.

I don't really factor Dame into my thinking right now. We'll see where he's at next season and who knows what our roster will look like at that point.

Jrue and Scoot should return at some point this season and it will be interesting how everything will fit together. I do still wonder if after great starts to the season if Jrue and Jerami are being held out for trades. Also I'm still at a place where I think this season is about progressing towards where we want to eventually be and not wins and losses. That gives us a lot of flexibility to learn.

Regardless of if our guys who traditionally play PG will need to learn to play off the ball or if Deni goes from primary playmaker to secondary playmaker while remainging the primary scorer, I only see the experience Deni and even Shaedon have been getting as positive for the team's future.

I’m just saying they have three point guards coming back at some point and Deni has established himself as a great player who can initiate and run the offense at a high level. They absolutely didn’t need 3 PGs BEFORE this revelation…now they have a glut of the same position. They can’t trade Dame, obviously. So when do Jrue and Scoot go?

I used to think the same thing but since our roster gets multiple injuries every year since forever I think it's a non-issue until it actually becomes one. I would rather just have the depth. Everyone will get theirs one way or another. On positive note if Jrue and Dame can extend their careers by taking nights off because the young guys got it, great. Scoot is young and if he's given more time to develop that's fine too. I don't see Scoot being the kind of guy to force a trade.

I don’t either yet. But who knows. I’m not sure how he sees the floor if everyone is healthy. Zero reason to play him.

With Deni aggresive style of play, I see no reason to play him 35+ minutes when the roster is healthy. Keep him at around 25-30 min max, even less on easy games and benefit longevity and roster usage. Jrue and Shaedon / Deni and Dame, Scoot mix with both - and pleanty of minutes for all to keep healthy and good for the long run...

Deni is going to be an all star, and an all NBA player in his prime. The team isnt good enough to sit someone like that, that much. The only all stars who avergae less than 30 MPG (let alone 25) are Giannis, Chet and Wemby. Wemby they treat with kid gloves, GIannis is old. Chet, not sure, but OKC is also very good and they can afford to. Portland wont be able to sit Deni. So they will use Lillard and Jrue, and then Scoot, with less minutes. Which is fine due to their age but thats $75M of back court doing a lot of resting.
