He is injured. The problem is he struggles with himself to not show it and 'fight' thrugh it. He should just let go and rest until his body is 110% healthy.
He played tonight becasue he feels bad for fans in NY coming to see him.. it is admirable but he should let go and attend to himself.

Yeah that's gotta suck. Also I figure he has to know he probably will never be as good as the first half of this season again because back injuries never fully heal.
Yeah - 37 year old Matthew Stafford had a back injury in training camp and the preseason resulting in a horrible NFL season.....

Or maybe he was the MVP.

I've had back issues for 30 years. When my back isn't right, everything seems off; everything; can't even type derivative bullshit on the keyboard as well. Obviously I'm not a world-class athlete, but I'd wonder if for world-class athletes there's no scale between 100% right and 67% right when it comes to the back

Deni had shin hairline fracture in his first Wizards season. I don't rule out vertebrea compression fracture.. (I suffered T9 and T11 compression fracture at young age falling on my ...
He jumped up to get a ball and the pressure from landing seemed to aggrevate his back..
Whatever to root cause maybe - the solution either in my eyes is - Rest for as much as needed. That is the only way for healing back problems.

I think he needs to just take the next 3 weeks off, get right (as much as possible), and come back after the all-star break refreshed and ready for the playoff push.
I think 'the problem' is that he really wants to be in the all-star game, and the Blazers really want him in the game. It might be there are just not enough voices of caution around this situation. And the game is only 2 weeks away and Blazers only have 7 games before the break. But there are two back-2-back sets in those 7 games.

simply 'playing thru' any injury carries some risk. My guess is that playing thru a back injury is riskier than most

Probably not the same situation, but the only way I got control of my back problems (still not, and likely will never to be 100%) was by stretching and strengthening my hips. I tried everything for my lower back pain in my late 20’s and my hip routine has been my saving grace.

If you have lower back pain YouTube hip neutral. It has a clackamas fire department logo on it, I believe.

I would think that it might be quite the opposite for more political. Didn’t David Robinson go through maybe something similar at one point?
Maybe I'm not recalling, but I can't remember David Robinson getting abject hate from some people in the country where he worked because of the situations involving the country of his birth and citizenship.

Theres barely a playoff push with him in the lineup

He takes 3 weeks off, theres not a playoff push to be had.

Granted play-in is garbage and not actually making the playoffs. So playing for a play-in doesnt count as a playoff push.

Right now, he's not who he had been. Playing him these next 7 games likely won't impact anything positively. Even if we go o-fer the next 7, having the increased possibility of a fully healthy Deni for the final 26 games would be worth the short-term sacrifice of not having him in the lineup until that point.

I think his back is bothering him a lot. He has been deferring to teammates a lot more and doesn't seem to really be seeking contact like he once did.

Hate to sound like a pessimist but I wonder if Deni is looking at missing significant time and that “stuff” he’s going through is the potential of making his first All-Star game only to be sidelined due to injury.

Deni was Duop's best friend..that's got to be tough on him. They were really tight according to Deni. I think a lot of guys are feeling shaky around the trade deadline.

I haven’t seen this mentioned here. Well, he wasn’t suspended. If it’s a joke, I don’t get it.

you really should do a modicum of research before you post stupid shit like this.

On the guys own profile is says

"SATIRE".

FFS.

I think Matisse was also a good friend, the Australia connection.

Clearly the guy doesn't know what "satire" means. This reminds me of the Schrödinger's Douchebag phenomenon.

I think a lot of people don't know what it means, ESPECIALLY those on "social media". They think just being a dipshit is humorous and they can call themselves "satire" and act like it's everyone elses fault they don't understand their pathetic sense of humor.

I saw that but I don’t get the satire. What’s the joke?

If you read any of his posts you'd see they aren't funny but dumb. So i don't think there was actually anything there that one could lable a joke
