I used to hike to the beach on Hickam and climb up the rusting WW2 lookout towers on the beach. Once we caught a little hammerhead with our bare hands. About a foot long, probably a baby.

come to Hawaii because you want to............to eat mango, poke, sashimi,,,,,,,,,,,make sure it is cause your hungry. Hawaii is a very easy place to come as long as you keep your expectations low. you will meet people if you come, just don't expect them to enunciate for you. pidgin still rules. many of my friends grew up on the the end of the plantation era

From ukulele lessons I will never forget how to sing "Red Sails in the Sunset" and "We're Going to a Hukilau." So I just spent half an hour listening on YouTube to the many singers who recorded "Red" at that time. I sure didn't know the Beatles had done it (they made the worst version, don't bother). I didn't listen to Hukilau, so this is from memory. Did I spell the words right?
