I agree, He can play any role given to him to the fullest. My favorite actor.

Hey, Remember the Titans is always good. I love that movie. I also saw Manchurian Candidate and John Q. Also very good movies.

All of his movies are amazing, my 2 personal favorites by him are John Q and The Hurricane. Both were amazing movies and he did terrific in them.

I dont know what you mean though...I thought Remember the Titans was an awesome movie. I want to see Training Day...Yeah, he is a pretty top notch actor..

Also, Denzel was good in the movies Crimson Tide, Antwan Fisher, and Man on Fire was great. There are many other good movies he was in such as the ones listed and many more. His new movie Deja Vu looks pretty good as well.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>anyone want to argue this?</div> What would be the point? It's just an opinion. I on the other hand think he's a great actor but I have my favorites who I like over him. Johnny Depp, Edward Norton and Benicio Del Toro. Depp is a great chameleon, never doing the same role twice, Norton and Del Toro are just a great presence on screen. Usually stealing the picture their in.

"What would be the point? It's just an opinion."if that were the case, then no one would post here. we argue over who's the best player in the league, so why not argue over who the best actor alive is.

I suggest anybody that is a fan of Denzel should see Glory. That might be my favorite performance of his of all time. He was just a supporting actor in it, but he gave an incredible performance. I've seen a ton of his movies though, and he really is a great actor. John Q and Inside Man are both two of my favorite movies ever, and I have never seen one movie of his I didn't like.

Wow, I forgot about him acting in 'He Got Game' with Ray Allen. Great movie, as I'm sure you all know.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>if that were the case, then no one would post here. we argue over who's the best player in the league, so why not argue over who the best actor alive is.</div> Well, mainly because people have different preferences with movies. B-Movie fans probably think Bruce Campbell is the greatest actor alive. Like I prefer other actors towards Denzel, but that's not taking away from him as an actor. You can't gauge actors with stats imo. Especially awards wise. I guarantee Bobby aka Crash II, will be reaping up some awards this year, overlooking better selections as always.

IMO, Leonardo Dicappio is. Hes talented, able to play various and distinctive roles, and is smart on what movies he wants to makeYou can make a case for Robert Deniro also. Its just my opinion. Dont wanna get into a arguement.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>You can make a case for Robert Deniro also. Its just my opinion. Dont wanna get into a arguement.</div> DeNiro's great, only issue is the movies he's making nowadays. He's just cashing in instead of making great films.

CHRIS TUCKER1edit: btw training day might just be my favorite movie I've ever watched

I saw the part where ray's sister said something about quitting school, then ray just shakes her and yells at her. the horrible acting was priceless. :HAHAHA:

Training DayThe Manchurian Candidate'Inside ManThe Bone CollectorMan on FireOut of TimeSome other movies that are great that I didnt see.Philadelphia The Pelican BriefAntwone Fisher Malcolm XI think both Depp and Washington are great but I prefer to watch a Depp movie over a Washington movie. I think Norton is great and like how he carefully chooses his movies. doesn't do as many as everyone else. Fight Club is by far the most favourite movie I can think of. Here is someone that hasnt be added yet. Christian Bale. If you haven't seen a Bale movie yet, you have been missing some great ones. One of my favourite actors of the time. The MachinistBatman ReturnsAmerican PsychoRescue DawnThe New WorldI wish they would go back and shoot all Tom Cruise movies over again and cast Bale instead. Would make all those movies much better.

Yall are picking great movies, not really great actors. Christian Bale is good, but he doesn't have a chance with Denzel, Leonardo and Deniro.

I don't think Denzel is all that fantastic. He's good, yeah, and he can really strike emotion, but he's not good at playing a wide variety of roles. In most everything, he has the same tone and character. I'd pick Depp, Norton, and Russell Crowe over him.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Yall are picking great movies, not really great actors.</div> Who you talking to? I've basically seen Denzel movies been listed. And you say he's a good actor. So I don't get the comment. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Christian Bale is good, but he doesn't have a chance with Denzel, Leonardo and Deniro</div> Bale is underrated. If anything I would put him on the same level as DiCaprio. Equilibrium is one of my favorites of Bale but the guy has been around the block. I seriously urge you to check out his performance in the Machinist. And what he went through for that role. Great actor as pj pointed out.

Yeah in the movie, Rick Fox was trying to get him to commit to his college, and Fox got Ray Allen two girls, and while doing it, he gave head to one of them.

On movie boards(imdb.com), everyone agrees that he is in the top 3 actors of the present time. Seriously watch his movies and you'll see that he is a great actor. What I find amazing is that a lot of people think that he is American because he plays a lot of Americans in movies and has a perfect accent. He is British though. He still has his British accent but doesn't use it alot. While filming Batman Begins, the crew said he never talked in his native accent. For all his interviews he uses his American accent as well. Overall though, he is a great actor. Much better than DiCaprio.

I love Denzel, but Training Day as a movie was overrated as sh*t. Don't get me wrong, it was a solid movie. However, it is always being portrayed as a great film, which it isn't close to being

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I love Denzel, but Training Day as a movie was overrated as sh*t.</div> To add, Denzel's big speech at the end reeked of over the topness. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>DiCaprio is overated in my opinion while Bale is widely accepted as a great actor by the masses.</div> And really DiCaprio is only now making a transistion to selecting better roles for his acting. Pre-Titanic, besides Basketball Diaries/What's Eating Gilbert Grape, he used his pretty boy looks in most of his films early on up to Titanic. After, he took grittier, meatier roles, hence working with Scorcese where he was showing his talents. But overall, Bale has just done more films in his career and showed his range, while DiCaprio you can say is still green and making his career. I'd give the edge to Bale for experience. Both are great actors in their own right though. I look at both on the same level for that reason.
