It would seem with a finite amount of combinations available on the website they are going to be able to "choose someone's design" but it will just be a coincidence, whichever one they go for will have been made I would think.

Or, since the choices are VERY limited on the site, they could go in a completely different direction.

It would be a pain to do the woodworking, but could you imagine a parquet pattern with the pinwheel? A series of five stripes of wood wrapped around a center core? Use the same wood without contrast, so it's subtle.

That could be cool, but I don't believe the pinwheel tessellates what with the roundness. Unless you don't care about negative space around the pinwheel.

I thought about that, and thought you just leave those areas as fill-in. My vision would look like a bunch of swirls with dots in the middle, creating interlocking pinwheels.
