OK so how much does that leave us for a back up PG?
So just to be clear does the move signal that there is no chance or desire for Asik or could that still be a possibility? Just curious

Jason Quick @jwquick Blazers assistant Kim Hughes will coach the goofiest big man tandem in the league in Lopez and Leonard.
I think the next deal will be the offer for Iggy.
At this point it wouldn't surprise me. Olshey has done great. I wonder if he likes that idea or not.

We have mid mle "2.5 mil" and about 4 more mil
Why? That would be an anti-Neil Olshey type move.
He's a worse fit than Matthews, will likely cost twice as much, and will probably go the way of Gerald Wallace in one or two years when his athleticism starts declining. He wasn't even that good last year. Would be a terrible pick up.
I wouldn't see why not. We've gotten so many great deals; we can have one that is overpriced a little
Olshey gave Jordan 12 mil per in Los Angeles.
I guess the better question is do the Nuggets value what we can offer more than just resigning Iggy?
Because he was a high upside guy that might live up to the contract. Iggy would never live up to that contract at his age.

I would have to think the Nuggs won't be contenders with or without Iggy. Seems like they'd want to go young, also seems like they need more shooters.
Wes + a 2nd rounder or something seems like it'd be decent value. I wonder if we/they(S&T) could give him like a 11.5/10.5/9.5/8.5 type of a deal? I don't feel like a contract like that would really weight us down all that much when it comes time to re-sign our guys like Batum, Lillard and (god-willing) Aldridge.
Iggy has been consistent so far. There are players like Garnett, Allen or pierce that are still high performers at mid 30's.

Last year, he played the worst he's played since his second season. Barely better than Matthews. He's already starting to decline ala Gerald Wallace. Whoever pays Iggy is going to have an albatross of a contract in a few years.
I don't think any doors are closed. There is a lot of flexibility still to what the Blazers could do. Just depends on what we want to give up. I don't really want to give up any decent assets at this point. If Aldridge is going to be moved though, anything is possible. So just to be clear does this move signal that there is no chance or desire for Asik or could that still be a possibility? Just curious
Did he forget about Withey?Jason Quick @jwquick Blazers assistant Kim Hughes will coach the goofiest big man tandem in the league in Lopez and Leonard.
That Watson a team stacked with talent. Also, he was used as a b-Roy type creator. And his numbers and batum are almost Identical. Odd...
$14 million dollars for a 15.5 PER player about to turn 30. Just think about that for a second.
