thanks for the clips!

I'm going to try and not get too far ahead of myself since it's only one game..but with that being said, it was a great start for him in NJ.

Wow. I didn't get a chance to catch the game, but looks like Harris was the one who started the Nets' run. Very impressive, but let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet. It's just one game, after all. One great game (for Marcus too, he just needs to shoot less), but still one game. Hopefully, both of our point guards can keep up the good work.

I just picked up Devin in my fantasy league...

Awesome performance, I only got home to catch the tail wind of the game, but I was extremely happy to see where we were.

Just to show how special this kid is:

I just showed my mom his highlights from the game. I haven't seen Nets highlights MYSELF for a while, let alone my mom. Now, here's about what happened:

Harris is shown pre-game in his sweatshirt and with his big smile

Mom: [laughs] "He's cute."

Harris blows past the defense en route to an easy layup

Mom: "Wow, he's fast, isn't he? He protected the ball like a football player."

Harris lobs the ball up for VC who dunks it one handed

Mom: "WOW! Look at that! One handed! [calls my sister in from the other room to watch the dunk]"

Harris dunks all over Bogut

Mom: "Incredible! How tall is he? He looks short."

Harris is shown post-game with his big smile again

Mom: "He's really cute, we should bring him to Hapoel (our family's favorite team). Jason Kidd could never score like that. I like him."

rod thorn another genius trade, thats all i have to say...

Yeah it was only one game. I think he still will have some ups and downs. But it was a good start.

I was kinda iffy about him when he came in b/c I didn't see him play too much but I'm an Officially a Devin Harris fan. I really don't expect the same results each game though, he was just in the zone against the Bucks. Marcus didn't do bad at all but it seemed like two entirely different games when Devin was running things and when Marcus was running things. Hopefully Devin can keep it up and I believe he can be an All-Star for years to come. Also his body is much younger than his age which is great b/c he's got the experience and mentality of a 25 year old veteran and the body of a rookie. I love this trade but I don't wanna judge it yet b/c he was just in the zone. I would start him against the Spurs though. I'm kinda worried about VC and RJ though b/c when Devin was in they didn't really score too much but w/e.

Marcus Williams -4
Devin Harris +17

That's okay. Maybe they can spend more energy on the defensive end if they don't have to carry the load on the other end 90% of the time.

The way Frank talked about giving his starting point gaurds a rope to run a certian amount away before yelling at mistakes make it seem like Harris was starting next game.

I still don't think Frank likes Marcus.

I wish people would stop comparing the two. One is a 2nd year player that was injured to start the season and the other is a 4th year player that started on a Finals team 2 years ago. Harris is definitely the more advanced player at this stage. He deserves more rope and he deserves to start. Frank said he gave Marcus more rope as the starter and he did.

devin harris is a million times nicer than kidd ever was to the fans

he makes sure everyone gets an autograph or pic taken with him or whatever

harris for president!!!!!

The Raptors have Ford + Calderon to give them = Forderon

Could the Nets have Williams + Harris = Willis ?

OR

Marcus + Devin = Marvin ?

OR

Marvin Willis?

How about Dercus Halliams? Or Devcus Wirris?

Devcus Wirris sounds pretty sweet.

I think we should stick to Devin Harris and Marcus Williams...

all those guys sound great, but I'm still iffy on drafting international players.

Wrong forum.

So who are you trying to convince here? What's the point of a post like this?

Jason Kidds season high - 20
Devin Harris first game - 21

someone posted this earlier, just saying it was no longer his season high.

I still don't understand the point of Kidd vs Harris. From what I could tell, Harris is benefiting in NJ just like Kidd is in Dallas.

It's actually logical...considering Harris is Kidd's replacement...
It's not like we're doing a Harris vs Paul thread...now that wouldn't make sense.

It's more of a "Kidd is an asshole so let's hate on him".

With what Devin has shown in his first game, I wonder how Marcus will react. It's pretty easy for him to lose the starting job that he so longed for.

I'm hoping to see Devin get 30 minutes, with Marcus getting around 24...

I realize Kidd pulled some pretty bitch moves at the end of his NJ tenure, but let's be honest here. If Kidd doesn't come to NJ, you guys aren't even halfway relevant in the basketball world. You guys would be a total afterthought. Kidd rejuvenated your franchise and damn near won an NBA title. While you may hate him, be grateful, because you guys are nothing if he didn't suit up for you guys for the last few seasons.
