It's part of this team maturing. They sometimes seem satisfied trying to sit on any lead they get. They also need to stop passing up good shots.

The problem with Gallant and it will eventually be his downfall is he lives and dies with vets. He never demotes them when the team sucks but takes it out on young future players of this franchise.

The over the top toxicity when they drop a game is comical. Obviously a terrible effort which seems like a letdown after the last two games. NJ and the Islanders are going to treat these games like game seven of the cup. Have to forget it and move on. Three of the next eight games are against the Pens.

That third pairing simply can’t play again. That pairing gave the devils almost all their energy. Schneider must’ve been laughing his ass off.
