They're kids. They look at guys like DAT and Lyerla and I'm sure they're wondering, "why not me?"

this would be another good example of why star rating of some HS kid isn't the end all be all. Certainly he had great measurables, but it's a big step up from HS to college and kids develop and learn at different rates.
