Did I mess up?

I cancelled Dish Network last night and the guy trying to talk me out of it told me I was losing my investment.

Did I get stock all those years? Should I be expecting a dividend check?

If so why do I have to pay them 10 dollars per receiver to send them back?

Man, if you people that have Dish still become millionaires I'm gonna be so pissed.

I'm probably canceling DirectTV when the NBA season is over. League pass is good enough and I can catch the remainder of games EXCEPT NBA TV games on Sling TV (operated by Dish btw).

Apple is getting their own service later. If you are locked in a contract you're basically fucked. I barely watch any TV other than hoops.

If dish is like directv, you invested in the equipment, which THEY OWN. Even though they charged you a few $hundred to get started (to pay for the gear).

If you want to reconnect later, they'll charge you again for the gear.
