Did Rangers trade Krider to Boston for 14th?

On twitter, they said they put up the board and Rangers are on the 14th spot which is Boston's and I heard a few times on twitter that Bruins were after Krieder. It is just a speculation.

Either way, both Hayes and Kreider will be gone by next week. No way they're gonna pay Kreider 3.5 mil + he's probably looking for. Not for a guy who is invisible 3 out of 5 games.

IMO, Nash or Stepan should be traded, NOT both. Brassard and Zuk should be untouchable for now, they are at a great contract and can be moved any second if needed. Krieder and Hayes both should be traded, as long as return on Krieder is worth it. Fast, Glass shoudl be gone also. I think JT shoudl stay. Nash or Stepan should bring top 5 overall pick. I think next year is a rebuild year and Rangers should treat it as such.

Kreider should not be traded under any circumstance. While I'm one of his biggest critics. The Rangers forwards had 3 major problems last year. One, they were slow. Two, nobody other then Kreider stands in front of the net. Three, their puck possession blows. Kreider excels at all three of those. He's blazing fast. He stands in front and is impossible to move. He's got great puck possession numbers.

Trading Fast is insane. He's got elite defensive skill and he's only beginning to develop his offensive game. He's also a righty shot and he's cheap. He's a great role player.


To me the players that need to get deal are Stepan, Nash, Hayes and if you get the right deal McDonagh or Klein. McDonagh is a top pair defenseman but his potential return could be immense.

No way they'd get the #14 for Hayes. And i agree on not trading for those reasons. He's one of the few building blocks they have.

Kreider has certainly annoyed me at times but he shows enough and has the tools that you don't want to give up on. He has had 21 goal seasons the last two years and that's with his head up his ass half the time. If things click he could easily score 30 goals.

Speculation is running rampant. Many of us will be disappointed. Has Gorton shown he wants
