With about two minutes to go, the ESPN announcers said Lillard was one rebound shy of a triple-double, so I was watching closely to see if he’d get another one. He never did. But with about 45 seconds left the announcers suddenly announced that Lillard had gotten a triple-double.

What the hell? Did anyone else notice this?

He tipped the ball up and it counted as an rebound and a shot attempt.

Harden air balled a layup that Dame caught, I think.

Uh, that is a very generous call, in my opinion. I’m glad Lillard got the triple double, but if you go back and look at that play (which I’ve done several times), he is just trying to grab the rebound. Doesn’t look like a shot attempt at all. He is trying to rebound the ball, but it bounces off his fingertips and gets away from him.

Respectfully disagree. He jumped, tipped the ball toward the basket, and was visibly mad at himself that it didn't go in. If I were the score keeper, I'd have counted it as a rebound and a missed shot attempt.

Just my two pesos.
