Did we break golden state's back?

Ever since our win in golden state, they've looked bad. This reminds me of when OKC broke ours two years ago. They seem like they are second guessing themselves and their defense has really looked bad.

I agree that Iggy is important for their success, they have enough firepower to compete in the league. I understand losing to marquee teams, but they lost to sub .500 teams.

Miami is still one of the best record teams. They are also proven champions. When Golden State has that under their belt, then I would never have this conversation.

The record after our win against them is a sub .500 record. I believe it's .390.

All teams go through slumps. It's a fact. 4 losses or not, all teams except one chicago team in the history of the league have gone through slumps.

And for the record, OKC didn't break our back. Scott Foster did. Still chaps my ass.

No, they didn't.
They've beaten NO, SAC, and TOR since we played them and lost to DAL and OKC... that's losses to teams above 500 and in the playoff race, and wins over the sub 500 teams.

I don't know how much the Blazers had to do with the Warriors recent slump, but the fact that they have lost 6 of their last 9 certainly helps the Blazers chances at getting home court advantage in the first round. All the preseason predictions had SAS, OKC, LAC, SAS and GSW as the five teams fighting for the top 4 seeds in the West. I know the season is only 1/4 over, but right now the Blazers have a 6 game lead over the Warriors and have replaced them as one of the 5 teams competing for a top 4 seed.

I know the Blazers are road warriors, but come playoff time, I like their chances a lot better if they have HCA in the first round (and hopefully, beyond).

HCA would make this team's shot at that magical run a lot more realistic. As the season goes on this definitely needs to be a goal.

Caveat that it's early, but this years team has a different feel about it than the Roy lead 54 win team back in whatever year that was. Or whatever the # of wins they had (learn the game!).

I think this team wouldn't be AS intimidated by the playoffs with HCA. Not saying it's a "darantee" of a win, but I think they'd stand a better chance (as things stand now) than the 54 win team/lose to Houston while having HCA did.
