"Mother of All Bombs" -- Afghanistan.

1 mile blast radius. Holy shit.

I think I need to start doomsday prepping. Shit is getting out of hand.

All those bombs the US has dropped on them in the last what, 5-9 years sure worked great, so why not drop even more?

Almost none have been dropped in AFG in the last few years because they're getting smart enough to understand that we would be hamstrung by even the chance of collateral damage. therefore, if a wife or kid is in a building with you, probably not going to get the all clear to drop.

Tunnel complexes are an art form in AFG. I'm professionally interested in what they went after.

You should always be prepping to survive weird stuff.

I'm interested in why you think this is the "out of hand" trigger, though.

Lol, America dropped 26,000 bombs last year.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jan/09/america-dropped-26171-bombs-2016-obama-legacy

Looking back at President Obama’s legacy, the Council on Foreign Relation’s Micah Zenko added up the defense department’s data on airstrikes and made a startling revelation: in 2016 alone, the Obama administration dropped at least 26,171 bombs. This means that every day last year, the US military blasted combatants or civilians overseas with 72 bombs; that’s three bombs every hour, 24 hours a day.

3 bombs EVERY hour.

I can see Trump being viewed as more of a pariah internationally, and who knows what that could lead to. I can see this being played up by ISIS for recruitment. It may not end up being a big deal, but I will be curious about the international response to this.

Oh and mods, just merge with HCP's thread.

That's been overblown. ISIS is still recruiting based on the Imperialist Infidels invading Islamic Territory in 1991. Not sure that "some crazy infidel is now using the biggest bombs possible to come after our previously-secure compounds and blow us to Paradise" is a recruiting boost.

There's a long litany of things that make it unlikely that ISIS will have any trouble recruiting. Thinking that there's anything we can do (or choose NOT to do) short of fundamentally and systematically changing strategies today to reduce that is a tough proposition.

That was for the North Korean film industry. There is some deep shit brewin Brothers & Sisters. Trump is converted into an industrial military complex disciple. "WE IS SCREWED"....p04s1ms7.jpg

hey north korea, remember that large american penis we warned you about?

I have a Yeti cooler. That is the extent of my prepping right now.
why prep? just puts a target on your back. crack a case of beer and watch the world burn. take out as many zombies as you can from your rooftop

We are going to drop Greg Oden on Kim Jong Un?

I would have thought that goal would have been achieved with Rodman's rod, man.

barfo

I am not exactly going to go "Wow!" Non-Nuclear Bomb.... Now I am not aerodynamics arsenal expert but I would be willing to bet there would be a significant kilo-tonnage difference in explosive power in a Non-Nuclear Bomb than a Nuclear Bomb. While I am sure the payload of this was substantial.... Look at some figures of historical war campaigns..... The Dresden Bombings for example. Holy shit.

I've got guns and a disarming smile.

That's all the prepping I need.

This thought may have some merit. Perhaps we could use some more!

Joining up arms with ISIS is not exactly a rational thought

Perhaps you are correct. But I don't see this big fucking bomb being a useful recruiting tool, even if you are direct descendant of Mohammad.
I should think you would want to be able to find your dick after being dispatched to paradise.
