As somebody pointed out, the fact that this happened RIGHT after he'd finished a meal with Xi Jinping is almost certainly not coincidental.
 
I think it's a good sign that this was (according to NY Times) on the "tame" end of the range of options presented to Trump by Mattis. Supposedly a purely military target, although of course it's probably naive to think nearly 60 missiles were fired and civilians weren't killed.
 
Another thing. The Trump supporters here called Hillary a warmonger for potentially being in favor of a no-fly zone over Syria. Well what the ever loving fuck is this then?
 
There was no war in Syria before Clinton was Secretary of State and the Nobel Peace Prize winner started bombing more nations in the region than just Iraq and Afghanistan.

I had all kinds of problems with Obama's cowardly "drone war" because I thought it was a futile strategy, with too much collateral damage and no clear strategic objective, but are you implying some kind of cause and effect between the situation in Syria and Clinton being Sec. State and Obama launching drones in lots of places that didn't necessarily include Syria (although some of them certainly did)? Seems like the Arab Spring and the Shia crackdown on Sunnis in Iraq might be a more likely culprit no?
 
Syria was an Iraqi sanctuary when Bush senior was pres....all the Hussein henchmen fled to Syria with Assad's blessing during the first Gulf War, then more later under the second invasion...Syria was to Iraq what Cambodia and Laos were to Viet Nam....and their money..Hilary Clinton did not start the trouble in Syria...Assad did, and has for a long time.

"Consulted with people"? And you don't think Trump is doing exactly that? Again: "Hillary would do a better job because she's a Democrat." That's essentially what you're saying here, and you know it.

If it's anything Trump has demonstrated, it's his willingness to let those who know what they're doing call the shots when it comes to the Military. He has no less professional military minds in charge than Hillary would if she were president.

But oh....it's Trump, so it's "bad".

You trust one more than the other, despite the fact that they would have essentially the exact same military staff in charge. That tells me all I need to know about your biased bullshit.
