Willie Nelson’s tax evasion story is a very unconventional one. It’s actually a bit funny. When the famous country singer found out he owed a whopping 16 million dollars in taxes, he set out to pay them off—with a new album—about taxes, no less! Amazingly, he made nearly enough money from the sales of his “IRS Tapes” album to pay all of what he owed the IRS. Most people would have stopped there, but not Willie. He then proceeded to sue his accountant for getting him into this mess, and ended up making enough in the settlement that followed to pay all his remaining debt, and then some.
