Dinosaurs and man coexisting

Okay fuckers. This is not me trying to do a creation vs evolution debate here so don't get all defensive.

Like I said, I watched ancient aliens and saw these drawings and studies. I know, I know the ancient alien guys are crazy, but it sparked an interest.

If you want to talk shit about how bogus it is because some creationists want to prove earth is 10k years, I'm not in that boat. But I think that dinosaurs could have survived until man. Why is that so hard to believe?

because there's be far more evidence then cave carvings on a few temples, and hokum science.

I think they come to conclusions of the heart rather than conclusions of reason but those guys bring to light some interesting mysteries. I wouldn't dismiss all of them out of hand.

I thought science can change and nothing is impossible. A dinosaur could survive and be killed hundreds of thousands of years ago and decompose into nothing because they weren't fossilized. Just because man and Dino's aren't fossils together, doesn't mean they couldn't have been coexisting. Fossilization takes millions of years right? If man only existed 200,000 years ago; it's impossible to find fossils right?

I agree with you. They sometimes bring light to odd things we can discuss at a more debatable level

The ones being skeptical are saying the burden of proof is on them. I don't see how we can discount this
I'm not dismissing Schweitzer's discovery, I'm just saying it isn't an ace in the hole just yet. Her results can't be reproduced at this time.

Oh I get you. Like I said... I'm not saying the earth is young. I am debating that Dinos could have existed when man existed

65m years, 200k years. Do the math.

Anything else is hooey.

I'm not certain, but I don't think that fossils have to take a long time form.

If man and dinosaurs didn't coexist how could they have made the Flintstones?

According to Denny, an animal 65 million years ago can't exist today.

I guess this is hooey then? Lmao

Yeah it has to be hooey. Science says all the Dino expired 65 million years ago.
All but the Crocodylomorpha. They have been around continuously for 225 millions years.
But nothing else could, heh?

umm? Is there a question or two here somewhere?

Crocodiles and alligators are not dinosaurs and are not descendants of dinosaurs.

As for species surviving the extinction event, our planet might be a little desolate if some hadn't.

You guys are so silly.... didn't you see Jurassic Park?

Dinosaurs already exist... duh!

Still curious on how an animal like the croc survived millions of years; yet evolution hardly changed a thing. I'm surprised they didn't become man. You would think a species that evolved for over 250 million years still didn't talk, think like we do or was able to build skyscrapers.

The question I raise is; "are we correct with our theories"

Thankfully the scientists and researchers conducting experiments and looking for reproducible results are with you.

Terence McKenna wrote that we only developed into self-aware, speaking creatures because our ancestors indulged in psychedelics. Maybe someone should start feeding crocs DMT and see what happens?

I'm down! I think everyone needs psychedelics in their lives! ;)

You can't use DMT though unless it's in salt form and smoked without a maoi

It's not the scientists I worry about. I think most seek truth. Both sides of the spectrum use theories to support claims that aren't fully understood.

Anyway, don't want to derail this thread with philosophical arguments. I still think man and dinosaurs did coexist at some point. I also believe that some dinosaurs either survived natural extinction. I think man killed the dinosaurs. :)

Is that the stoned ape hypothesis?
That guy sure is interesting, but to be taken with a grainery of salt.
