No problem with "Spread the word to end the Word," apparently...

Everytime i see a trump poster i fear for my life, some white guy is going to shoot up the next building i enter.

If I were Latino at that school I'd fear for my life.

You sir, are ridiculous. Your outlook on life is what is completely ruining this country. Fear for your life because other people have different opinions from you and want to uphold the laws of the land regarding immigration and use free speech to express it? That is some fucking ironic bullshit.

It's the same reason you own a gun.

Placing a sign in advocacy of current immigration law, is in no way the same as owning a gun.

You're fucking dreaming shit up now.

First off I'd be afraid because schools get shot up.

That sign was to make people afraid not express a political view. How come the muthafucka that hung it didn't stand there with it? Because he/she was too chicken shit to peaceably assemble to redress the government for their grievances? The Latinos at the school don't make law.

The sign was put up to make people afraid. And that's the reason why people have guns.

Don't put words in peoples mouths. You're assuming far to much.

You're assuming too little.

I just speak to the facts of what I read in the article.

The kids got disciplined for putting up a sign. == It's bullshit. Would love to see if anyone got disciplined for putting up a "remove illegal immigration laws" sign or something to that affect.

This line of thinking is no different than white kids fearing for their lives if there is a "Black Lives Matter" protest at a school/university.

Why? Posting the sign was not a planned protest. It was a threat. Apples/Oranges.

BLM protests are generally peaceful endeavors.

Wait, you're saying posting a sign is a threat and people holding signs up are not?

and then using the term generally when describing if they are peaceful?

Tell me again, which is more of a threat? LOL

I'm sorry, but saying "build a wall" is nowhere near a threat. Only to the people that are again making up bullshit in their head.

IF you aren't illegal, then you should not care.

More hate speech. welcome to TRUKKMPS AMERRKKKIA

You should put this in green font bro. :)

There isn't.

A student who is a Scientologist can not stand in the lunch room and preach about Scientology. They can leave school grounds and do it on a public sidewalk.

Someone who is anti-abortion can not lead a demonstration on campus. They can do it across the street from the school.

Those kids have a right to put up Build A Wall signs, just not on school grounds.

Tinker v. Des Moines is another example.

Edit: I will say though that the law surrounding it is tricky so as usual can be bent to the will of the wielder.

Pussy ass high school dipshits. I see a future of laying down in the middle of the fucking road blocking traffic for them.

I'm pretty sure the school can limit any activity that is disruptive, and they can decide what is disruptive.

If you don't like it, sue.

Its not really the school's reaction that bugs me, but the media's classifying this as racist / hate speech etc. They also allowed the walk out to take place which is enabling.
