DJ AM is dead?

Reports out that DJ AM is dead of an overdose in his New York apartment.

Radar Online says he had trouble getting away from prescription meds he used recovering from surviving a plane crash last year.

AM was 36.

He was in the plane crash with Travis Barker (Blink 182 drummer) and they were the only survivors. Previously, DJ AM was addicted to pain killers but was clean for a couple of years until after the plane crash. They prescribed him some PKs to help the physical pain post-crash and he got hooked again. They found a bunch of pills in his stomach, one lodged in his throat, and a couple in his mouth so he obviously just got a handful and smashed them down. I believe he also had a crack pipe or something around him when he was found.

I also heard that he put mirrors in front of every door for some strange reason. I'll see if I can find a link.
