Anyone DJ here? Just trying to get some tips.

just general places to look to learn. maybe they have videos on youtube. or general tips and shit.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned MIXUM yet...Brock?

a few of my friends match beats and/or scratch, any particular questions?

best CHEAPEST deck I can learn with?

I haven't look around in a long time, but I love my Technics. I haven't dj'd much since college (got suckered into a few MBA events at while my wife was going to school, but nothing other than that). I'm assuming you're talking about spinning actual vinyl. If you're not, then I'm pretty clueless on what is good.

Just make sure that you get direct drive. Belt drive tables are pretty worthless for djing. If you are looking for actual tables and if you want technics, let me know. I mainly use my tables for listening now, so I may be willing to part with one of them (and I think I have an extra decent mixer).

For learning, if you're looking to scratch, check out the qbert video. Not sure about good videos on mixing.

you can get some cheap and decent numark, stanton, or gemini stuff, just beware, if you want to scratch or stop records, you need a direct drive, a belt drive is meant to just press play and let er rip

My mother said my index finger is double-jointed. She knew which fingers of which of her family were double-jointed.
