That "novel" as you call it took me about 90 seconds to read.

Have you ever thought about addressing your fear of reality? :dunno:

What fear of reality is this that you speak of? The reality is that we now have a president that our allies don't respect and seems more involved in being buddy buddy with Putin than those that have long been our allies. Trump is becoming the perfect puppet that Putin has always wanted and trump has taken it hook line and sinker.

Lemme break it down for all y'all.

You're not arguing over where to get the news. The news is this. Trump adds tariffs to so and so.

What you are arguing over is who narrates it more to your liking.

There is Fox News...Trump today put major pressure on Canada and Mexico by putting tariffs on so and so. Trump is fighting for workers by doing this and we're sure his dick is bigger than average. MAGA

Then there is CNN...Today Trump applied historically devestating tariffs that are likely to cause job losses in America. He just doesn't understand why you can't just start a trade war when you feel like it....

Blah blah blah blah blah. The news is not news anymore.

The news is what you want to avoid if you want to avoid made up crap.

It may be best to just have our ears and eyes surgically removed so that we are exposed to fewer facts. Then we'll be free to believe whatever we want to believe without contradiction.

But in the meantime, we can just execute all the journalists and burn the libraries. That would be a good start towards making our lives fact-free.

I suppose we need to restrict the internet to porn-only use. Getting rid of that other 1% of usage shouldn't be a problem.

I see the topics on the news while at the gym. They have cnn and fox on. Then I go to youtube and find video of the actual event and start there if it interests me.

That is how you get the facts. Watching any American mainstream news is misleading.

Fox shows the part of the video that they like and they leave out the part CNN runs with. CNN does the exact opposite.

I fear for the future of this country.

Of course further research makes sense. But I note that you are using the news as a starting point, which is what it should be. Of course it isn't the full story, it can't be. But it does serve a useful purpose.

I don't. The current stupidity will eventually end; a new and different stupidity will take it's place.

With no sensory input I'm liable to believe anything. That is, until I adjust and begin to question existence, in which case there really is "No Exit".

I don't know that you need a we in that sentence. You do know you are free to implement on your own.

What makes you think I haven't?

Oh, my posting here, right.

Well, this is sort of like watching porn.

This thread is a little humorous to read, but not much.
More or less another liberal pity party bitching about anyone reading anything they do not want to hear.

Sometimes this gets carried to the ultimate extreme. I remember @Lanny once rejecting a book written by the director of Scripps Institute as a source. Would not even read it, something about, as an "Engineer" he knew better.

It's funny you only notice the liberals saying that in this thread and not the Trump fans. The only ones who aren't bitching about that are the conservatives, and that's because there aren't any such creatures anymore.

and that's because there aren't any such creatures anymore.

I can't even determine what to object to in this post?

So I will go back to work, with one last thought.

Charles Krauthammer is about to depart from us, one of the great commentators of all time. I will miss him.

I give you the CNN link instead of the more appropriate Fox link where he told his truths as a proud American Jew with a different view.
I didn't want it to be rejected in the pity party.

Sometimes stupid shit is stuff you regret when you're older like a tattoo. Hopefully this is one of those things. That 20 trillion and climbing on the other hand.....

"Legit" MSNBC propaganda star slammed for attacking women who are more successful and prettier than her.

MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace slammed for asking if Melania, Ivanka are 'dead inside' or 'paid off'

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace asked if women surrounding President Trump are “dead inside.”

MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace is under fire for making a derogatory comment Thursday about first lady Melania Trump and first daughter Ivanka, asking if they are “dead inside” or simply being “paid off.”

On her show "Deadline: White House" Wallace pondered how women close to the president cope with the ongoing allegations surrounding adult film star Stormy Daniels, who claims to have had a consensual sexual encounter with Trump over a decade ago (Trump denies the allegation).

“Are they just the most stoic human beings, are they numb, are they dead inside, are they paid off, I mean, what’s their deal?” Wallace asked.

The comment was immediately panned across social media and by conservative commentators.

Political commentator Britt McHenry told Fox News that feminists and liberal women champion women’s rights, unless those women disagree with their politics.

“This is yet another example,” McHenry said. “Ivanka and Melania can’t win with the media. If they show too much emotion, they’re ‘not taking the White House serious enough.’ If they don’t show much emotion, apparently now they’re stoic and cold.”

Independent Women’s Forum senior editor Charlotte Hays sarcastically asked, Does Ivanka Trump, who had a successful business career before joining her father's administration, strike you as ‘dead inside?’"

Hays continued, "what about Melania Trump, who valiantly rises above it all, even when the media pursues her with baseless tales of domestic abuse, because she had had the nerve to withdraw from the public eye long enough to recuperate from kidney surgery? Is there any evidence that our gracious first lady is ‘dead inside?’"

One Twitter user responded to the video by saying Wallace “needs help,” calling it a “dark conversation.”

McHenry said that American people see through Wallace’s comments as petty and inconsequential.

“Perhaps, someone doesn’t like the Trump family. But it’s becoming easy for people to pick sides that the media has drawn when outlets like that continue to be unnecessarily salacious and cruel,” McHenry said.

Earlier this week, President Trump sent a tweet regarding widespread media speculation over first lady Melania Trump’s recent absence from the public eye after treatment for a kidney condition.

“The Fake News Media has been so unfair, and vicious, to my wife and our great First Lady, Melania. During her recovery from surgery they reported everything from near death, to facelift, to left the W.H. (and me) for N.Y. or Virginia, to abuse. All Fake, she is doing really well!” Trump tweeted.

Wallace wasn’t the only MSNBC host to make outlandish comments about the Trump family in the past 24 hours. On Friday, Stephanie Ruhle questioned if President Trump was prepared to meet North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un by bringing up a variety of incidents, alleged and otherwise, while ignoring his entire political and business resumes.

When trying to determine what had prepared Trump for the upcoming meeting, she asked, “When you appeared in a Playboy softcore porn movie? Was it when you body-slammed Vince McMahon, the head of the World Wrestling Federation? Or, was it when you were leaking information, when you were disguising yourself as your own PR guy, talking to tabloids about what a great lover you were?”

I don't even understand how a major corporation would tolerate this. No writer name just NBC Sports Philadelphia and the term "shade"

So embarrassing

This is weird! Look at those three ladies. Which one looks as if she was just served a meadow muffin for breakfast?
She was just rambling off cliches as far as I could tell. Not a big deal to me. Better than feckless c%#!

While mainstream news sites may not blatantly lie regularly, they certainly have no problem with omitting the truth. If being mainstream is the bar you hold that's unfortunate. Considering many alternative news sites, whether they be left or right, are the only sources you can actually get certain news from. Ever heard of Palestinians being given 40 years sentences for rock-throwing? Probably not. How about the genocide that's happening right now in Yemen? If all you take in are mainstream news sources than I doubt you've heard of that either. Mainstream news only reports what is deemed healthy for the public to consume by the 6 or so corporations that own every major news media Outlet, left or right doesn't matter.
Wtf is really going on in Yemen? Just saw a little girl who looks like a modern day Nazi concentration camp victim.

I watch the local news every morning and they cut to NBC national news and I've never seen shit about it. I do know a dog bit a guy's junk off in Poland a few weeks ago.

and here comes a post right out of the trump playbook. Ridicule and attack. So typical and so classless, but wouldn't expect any more than that when considering the source.

You're referring to this comment by Nicolle Wallace, right?
