We're getting great defense and efficiency from Ed Davis. Offense, sharp shooting and steals from Crabbe. Athleticism, scoring, all around play from Hendo. Hustle, defense, speed and matchup problems with Harkless. Shooting and team inspiring towl waving from Meyers. Everyone is healthy, accepting their role and contributing key moments to wins.

If this is not the best bench in the league name the team that is superior and why.

Other great benches;

Golden State with Iggy and Livingston. They have the best bench player with the finals MVP; but Ezeli is hurt and Barbosa has lost a step. Varejao won't fix any problem; he's worse than Kaman. We are much deeper which lead to us blowing open huge leads in our game a few weeks ago.

Spurs with David West, Anderson, Simmons, Patty. A good selection of role players; they don't have the interior defense nor the diverse offensive firepower of our group.

One thing to note though is that CJ is sort of a bench player if you look at his role on the team.

How so? The guy is averaging 35 minutes a game.

He's always with that bench unit during the critical parts of the game while Dame rests. Ed even said CJ is kind of with them in that bench mob group.

And like Platypus said, he runs the offense for that second group.

I don't know, it seems like there has been a lot of good teams over the years where the coach always had one of his two leading scorers on the floor at all times. I think for a few years Chicago did that with Pippen and Jordan. I am a big proponent of that strategy. Although I would not consider someone like Pippen as part of their bench.

I think we have an incredible bench with the best future in the league but as much as it pains me...the Spurs have the deepest roster in the league and the best current bench although an aging one...I also heard they may pick up Andre Miller...

Our bench core is insane. I would love to keep them together, but I think we need to add one more significant piece this summer and I don't see how that's going to be possible without renouncing some people.

As bad as I'd feel for 'Dre if he went to the Spurs and STILL didn't make it out of the first round, I really hope that that's exactly what happens.
Didn't Dre already make it out?

I don't think we need to add anyone. Just like GS didn't need to bring in Kevin Love. We've got the horses. Just need to re-sign everyone and grow from within. Not worth it signing DeRozen and then trying to figure out how he fits in with what is already clearly working.
