Do we still have a first round pick if we tank?

I think some of you are vastly underrating the talent on Phoenix. They have a very dynamic backcourt with Bledsoe and Dragic, both of whom have given us fits in the past. They have some decent scorers like PJ Tucker and the Morris twins, who have also given us fits in the past. This is just a team that we do not play well against. Bledsoe could be an All-Star, and Dragic is essentially Steve Nash light. I really don't understand why you guys think they're so bad. This isn't the Bobcats.

Yes because one game will determine the entire season. Tell that to Miami fans after they lost to Philly.

The reality is this team went away from what made them successful during the pre-season. When we saw nothing of what happened during the pre-season, it was pretty obvious that the players and coach resorted to last year's style. When they regroup and play with the philosophy of this season, then we can talk.

Preseason means nothing. We were beating teams that didn't care. Look how good the Warriors were last night. They knew when the real season started. As for Miami, they have a team that won two championships and they beat the Bulls. One loss last night means nothing to them. We are unproven. Remember, the Bobcats lost last night too and they suck so we might be more like them than Miami.

Actually you just proved that one game doesn't determine the season.

After last nights game it's clear to me at best this team wins 35. That would be generous I don't even see our first win till at least two weeks into season. I'm thinking trade Aldridge bring back some talent and get a top 5 pick hopefully we improve fairly quick like the suns have.

Also Lopez isn't a starting caliber center in this league. That's what oshley settled for? That's like being promised a home cooked meal and getting Taco Bell.

With how deep this draft was. It was unclear to me why Neil seemed to want to toe the line on making the playoffs or just 'missing' it and then missing out on the lottery pick.

Actually the moves he has made has been puzzling. They didn't make us significantly better nor did they make us significantly worse which is where I would think we want to be...

Anyone know why we picked this year to play with a delicate situation?

I say this now after being thoroughly impressed with them in Preseason.

But they looked a lot like the team I thought we had on paper with their play last night. Defensivley, they were no where in tune (which is why I asked about only 9 mins for TRob) like they were in Preseason.

Made me let out a "Oh"

I think the reason why Freeland got more time than Robinson last night was because Stotts was trying to stop Plumlee. Not sure if Freeland is really a defensive stopper though

Guys guys. Preseason means nothing. Sometimes, the other team isn't even trying to win. They're playing people who won't playin regular season, trying new schemes. You can't take anything away from preseason. In games that matter, our team has lost 14 in a row.

Aldridge played a lot and I don't think Aldridge wants to slide to center and play with TRob. That's LA/Hickson all over again.

No it's not. Hickson was starting next to Aldridge. Robinson is coming off the bench. We'd only be asking Aldridge to play center for a few minutes of the game, and then Lopez comes in and relives him.

...was that Lopez got into foul trouble in the 1st half, got pulled out for Freeland, then in the 2nd half played paranoid of his former team. Also, Freeland has about 7 times the pro experience of Robinson, and 7 times the basketball IQ.

In future games Freeland may continue to exceed Robinson, but not Lopez, in minutes.
