Do you find yourself rooting for the Eagles now that Chip Kelly is coach?

Yes because I think it will help the Ducks in recruiting.

Sort of. I like them more but still don't want them to be amazing.

Gimmick? What do you mean? You think the Ducks will be better without Chip?

No, I'm saying that the Oregon system can have success in the NFL. The fact is Oregon puts a lot of good players in the NFL on BOTH sides of the ball.

Has anyone been watching Kiko Alonso on the Bills this year? Guy is a beast and it's no real surprise to Duck fans.

I'm not an Oregon or Oregon State fan, so no. I actually like them a little less now. Kelly is an annoying prick who contributed to me losing interest in college football all together.

I just can't get over what Vick did.

I wish him success and pull for it.

I think his offense, at least the 'go fast' will be cut short. I watched his team last week and there is no way they are going to hold up with the amount of plays and the type of plays they ran last week. He's going to have to adjust and if he's the genius he and a lot of people think he is, he should be able to do that!

Similarly, I'm not a Seahawk fan but I think there are moments, if my team isn't in it, I pull for Paul Allen to have success.

I think it's the Blazer tie.

Oh so you were that Vols fan hating on the Ducks on YouTube

No, as I've said, I've lost interest in college football. I did figure Tennessee would get killed, even though I don't know anything about either team this year.

Trust me, I recieved enough unwanted trash talk over the last week. I only know the names of like three Oregon players (one because I know him) and two Tennessee players.

I don't care how well Tennessee's football team does anymore, but had they won, it would have been awesome just for the fact that Duck fans would have to shut the fuck up.

Yeah, but the Ducks won, didn't they? Huh? Huh? Huh?

So who says we're obnoxious?

No. He coaches the Iggles. If he would have taken the Browns or Bills job, I would have been cool with him. Besides, my ass is still chapped from last Monday night. It's brutal being a Skins fan.

I root for Kelly and the Eagles. There is some sort of attachment to Oregon football (as fleeting as that will be) and more importantly it is fun to watch.

Hell no. I root against the Eagles even harder than I did when Vick was the only reason to hate them.

I don't particularly care for the way Chip handled his departure, but his success in the NFL will only help the Ducks in recruiting, so I'm hoping he has success.

How else would you recommend he depart? I was convinced before he left that if he left, it meant a bowl ban would be included in the sanctions handed down by the NCAA. Now, I'm convinced that the bowl ban was taken off the table because he left.

I was completely prepared for him to leave after the final game of the season. He had interviews set up, he was as good as gone. He spent a week meeting with the Eagles, the Bills, etc and then he said, "no I'm going back to Oregon." I thought, okay, that's cool. At least one more year of Chip. I'm okay with that." That lasted a week and then he signed with Philly. It was uncool to use the Oregon team and fanbase as a bargaining chip to get a better deal after everything the university did for him.

He was a nobody. They plucked him out of a tiny college and made him a star. How does he repay them? He publicly says he wants to stay and then a week later he leaves. That's just really lame in my opinion.

This is what annoys me about the situation. He flip-flopped more in a few weeks than John Kerry during his presidential run.

Kinda the opposite for me lol. I had been losing interest in NFL at a (just slightly) slower pace than NBA. I got bored with the "Run up the middle, run up the middle, run up the middle, Punt" game the NFL had become.

Chip Kelly's way to play the game has helped contribute to opening up the game on multiple levels IMO, and has made it watchable for me again.

I read this part alot, (Not just from you) but I still havent seen anywhere, where Chip publicly says he wants to stay. It was leaked by UO officials even that Chip was staying. But I still cant find something where Chip is talking about it, in that 10 day period.

Not saying you are wrong. I just personally have never seen/heard it from the horse's mouth
