Well I guess no Nascar fans in here? It was once the most watched American sport on TV and even more so than the Superbowl. Not sure if it still is or not?

I don't like Nascar.... driving in circles doesn't do it for me. I really like Moto GP though. The amount of skill that goes into motorcycle racing is unbelievable. They aren't just sitting in a metal cage. So much of riding is body control.

This is a video from 2009 where Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi are battling back and forth in the final three laps. Just amazing.

Racing is one of those sports like golf, where it's great to participate in, and it's great to be apart of live, but it's hard to watch on tv.

The mass appeal gets lost in translation on tv. Once you get to run the 1/4 track, or get some free reign on the loop and hit 140+, you'll have a rush that you can't duplicate. It's also great to watch these cars going near 200 on the loop, and being there to feel the energy, but watching on it tv, it puts me to sleep faster than the Masters.

I guess I'm a passive fan though, because Ford had employed 90% of my extended family being from Detroit originally, and I'll get a kick from guys like Carl Edwards winning it all because of that, but at the end of the day, I can't bring myself to actually watch it on tv.

Oh my god, that clip is crazy. I have never been much of a fan of any motor sport, but I have to admit that I would love to see that live. Wowzer!

I saw Valentino Rossi live in about 2006 down at Leguna Seca. Those races are amazing to watch live.

...it's all about F1 -- the best and only car racing worth watching!

Growing up in Memphis, I've been to a few NASCAR and PGA events. It's kind of what we do. I also drive a '12 Mustang GT and take it to the strips and streets often (kinda baiting for skeptics so I can post some pics of my whip, but I know I'm on a forum with a lot of old timers that probably have "better" cars).

Are you one of those guys that go to the PGA events and yell "GET IN THE HOLE" on the tee off shot?

I would love to go to one, but it's either Austin or Laguna Seca this season if you want to see one live.

I saw Kenny Roberts at the same raceway. One of the coolest experiences I've ever had. Amazing!

Went to several indy cart races at PIR back in the nineties.

Subaru WRX STI <---- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Special Edition  Actually I think the Lancer is the faster car but I like Subaru better..
