If so, what kind of music?

I have the AM radio news on my alarm clock...all the news of the day seeps in while I'm sleeping...doesn't wake me up, I have an alarm clock on my cell phone that does.

music...woke up to the horrible alarm sound for years. That shit is unhealthy.

I use my cell phone. My alarm is an old fashioned phone ringing.

Haven't used an alarm clock in twenty years. I wake up when I need to.

cell phone alarm, beep beep beeep..............beep beep beep.....

But I often wake up on my own before that goes off.

It's all about not changing your weekend schedule too much.

Both.

I have a standard alarm, and also set my phone on top of the radiator so it vibrates while playing some tupac song. No snooze for me. That shit completely wakes me up.

I have to setup 3 alarms in order to wakeup. All are loud, annoying alarm sounds.

I wake up to The Red Telephone by Love. As soon as the first sound comes from my phone I'm instantly awake.

The Blazer Trumpets are my ring tone and my alarm clock. Sometimes I sleep through them and dream about Bill Schonely.

Neither. I don't set an alarm. My head seems to have one built in.

Got 3 and 5 year old boys. I've learned the hard way that no matter how soundly I'm sleeping, I need to protect the nads at the first sound of the doorknob turning, or some kid is going to land a heel on them.

That kind of instant terror is quite effective at waking one up.

I wake up to "get your lazy ass out of bed" I guess that would fall under alarm?

I wake up to 95.5 The Game... but its only on for a couple of seconds before I turn it off or hit snooze.

i have my radio set to espn radio here in laredo....but use the cell phone for an alarm, not that i need one since i don't work until 2pm most days.

My schedule changes a lot, so I have my ipod alarm go off.

Chinese gong ringer on my cell phone. I want to get one of those gradually brightening lights, though...

Why wake up to some harsh alarm when you can wake to the soothing strums of David Gilmour!

I do something similar, except I have David Gilmour get up before me, fix me coffee, then play a song for me to wake up to. *He* gets up to an alarm though.

...did you know Miles Davis used to get a bunch of musicians to play in his basement, with microphones hooked to speakers throughout his house, just so he'd have some nice music to listen to throughout the day? That's the fucking LIFE right there!

One of my roommates in the Army used to wake us up to the soundtrack of Good Morning, Vietnam, which was actually kind of cool for the first couple of weeks. After several days of trying to talk him into some sort of CD rotation, I came home drunk and switched his CD with a really heavy death metal band (sounded a little like Sepultura, but the name of the band escapes me). Let's just say that when the stereo kicked on about four hours later, Wes didn't waste a whole lot of time rubbing the sleep sand out of his eyes before getting out of bed, lol...
