He’s almost 33 dude. He doesn’t have the value he would have had 2 years ago when he first started voicing his displeasure.

But Roy’s should?

That is an interesting thought since at the surface you would think the same would apply to Roy as with Aldridge. Both should not be in HOF imo but Roy was something very special in Portland and still a fan favorite to many (would love to see him as a coach on the team). I tend to lean toward yes with Roy jersey being retired. It is right on the edge to qualify based on the number of games he played. As a fan though, I would be kind of annoyed if the Blazers retired LA jersey whereas if they did it for Roy I would celebrate it.

Makes no damn sense, but to each his own

So you like Roy so he should be, but you don't like LA so he shouldn't be? Is that what you are saying? Doesn't really matter that LA put up better numbers?

Neither in the hof for me, but Roy jersey retired in Portland since he basically stopped the team from moving.

LA put up pretty comparable numbers to Chris Bosh and Bosh is in the Hall. If Bosh is in, I expect LA to go in. No on Roy retired numbers. He just didn't play long enough.

One of my favs Sheed….don’t think he should go either. The Hall should be saved for very special players obviously. Love both these guys, but they didn’t do enough.
This.

When you start watering down the HOF with it will start to not seem like the HOF.

Winning a championship should be a defining category for the HOF, but I can see why some non champions like Reggie would be worthy of being inducted into the HOF. But it’s rare company.

Maybe we will see Melo and CP3 in the HOF some day. Two more (potential) non champion inductees.

Makes perfect sense to me! lol I said they both shouldn't be in HOF. I just think Roy provided so much more to Portland vs LA (on and off the court). If you just go off the numbers produced then sure don't retire his jersey. Jersey retirement is very subjective IMO and many organizations will retire a jersey for players based on their overall impact on the team and city. I view Roy as a major milestone and important part of the Blazer's history (taking us out of the Jail-Blazers era, possibly saving the team from moving, etc) and LA was a great player in his own right but at least to me is not at the level of Roy with his positive impact to the Blazers organization and the city of Portland.

We can disagree though, that's fine. :)

I think I know the answer, although none of us might for sure, but if we asked their teammates and opponents, would they want LA or Rasheed on their team?

I would guess players would take Rasheed ten times out of ten. Other than MAYBE Sabonis :)

I think your opinion is quite a stretch. “Most overrated” in the history of the league?
False argument...
I didn't say in the history of the league.

But he was overrated. I absolutely despise his turnaround long 2 from the elbow.

tell that to all the fans that are demanding a Rudy Gobert return for Damian Lillard. Any team that can absorb a supermax and toss in a few picks is a great deal.

You sir/ma’am made a mistake here. Championships mean squat. Adam Morrison and JR Rider have 2 each I believe.

Stockton, Mailman, Barkley, Ewing…..I shouldn’t really need to finish this sentence FAMS.

You really disappointed me here FAMS.

Didn’t say it should be the sole means of being in the HOF, just that it should be a qualification of being in the HOF.

Obviously Morrison and Isaiah are not HOFers. Obviously Stockton and Malone, Ewing, and Barkley are deserving HOFers.

He was in the "good" category but not elite of the elite. He turned into too much of a mid range chucker. I'd take Rasheed over him any day.

You are arguing with yourself. Let me know who wins.

For LMA?

The Hall of Fuckers?

Hall of Fickle?

Hall of Fannies

And he fucked the team by trying to play for someone else

I think Lamarcus squeaks in. Not sure if he deserves it, though.

Does anybody really know what Hall of Fame it is?
Does anybody really care?
If so I can't imagine why
LMA's career crawled off to die
