I have a huge mutt. She is mostly a mix between a German Sheppard and a Golden Retriever, she weighs just over 100 pounds.
A week or so ago she was limping a little bit but nothing major then my family went on vacation and we let her run wild up at my Wifes Grandmas house out in Otis. The next morning she wouldnt put any weight on her left hind leg at all and seemed to be in great discomfort. After we got into Yachats we and it hadn't gotten any better I made an appointment with a vet and got her into see one yesterday.
An audio graph was taken that showed no tearing but the vet was sure its at least a partial tear and really pushed surgery. I read up on surgery and a lot of stories of dog owners and im on the fence about it, im going to see if after 7 days she is doing better on because of the anti inflammatorys she was given and what my actual vet thinks when I can get my dog into see him.
What id like to know is if anyone has a dog or knows someone who has a dog thats torn their ACL and how that dog healed either with or without the surgery.
