An imam from the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem vowed to take revenge over "the western dogs" for killing Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Pakistan on Sunday.

In a Youtube video uploaded by the imam he said: "The western dogs are rejoicing after killing one of our Islamic lions. From Al-Aqsa Mosque, where the future caliphate will originate with the help of God, we say to them – the dogs will not rejoice too much for killing the lions. The dogs will remain dogs and the lion, even if he is dead, will remain a lion."

The imam then verbally attacked US President Barack Obama saying: "You personally instructed to kill Muslims. You should know that soon you'll hang together with Bush Junior."

"We are a nation of billions, a good nation. We'll teach you about politics and military ways very soon, with god's help," he vowed.

Funny how it's ok to instruct people to kill other religions, but not for others to kill your own.

It kind of scared me, I'm actually thinking of changing my moniker to SlyPokerLion.

Yeah.... dogs with big fucking guns and night vision.

this didnt get the credit it deserved. Well done Sly

Obama should send in a hit squad to Israel and execute him.

Clearly a threat to national security.

Time to make it the Temple of Solomon again. We need a little less tolerance with this "religion of peace"; the only thing they seem to understand is force.

pretty nervous for my parents going to Jerusalem in 2 weeks. Europe too. lots of threats. hopefully people are doing their jobs in the intelligence community.

Do these imans email each other ideas for the most ridiculous and over-the-top things they can say in video? This one may top the US terrorist Adam Gahan saying that "blood will flow in the streets" after the military killed some other terrorist in the mid-2000s.

You're the dog; we're the lion. So fucking ridiculous. It's hard not to laugh, because it reminds me of something Snidely Whiplash would say. All this is missing is the laugh.

Calm down guys. This is an imam talking out of his ass, as religious leaders often will. This is hardly a news story.

Fine. I await other imams to denounce his statements. Something tells me I'll be waiting for quite a while.

Yes, this is perfectly normal within the Religion of Peace. You should all be used to this by now.

It doesn't work like that. If it did, then I am shocked an appalled that I haven't noticed any Christian churches denouncing the Westboro Baptist Church in the mainstream media. How dare they not.

Informed opinion. Nice.

They already have, but you won't hear it on the evening news because that won't get people to tune in. You won't find it as a big story on news outlets online because that's not what's going to get scared Americans to click. They're a loud minority of a people-group. They don't represent any religion, they represent people who hand-pick principles of a religion, and ignore other parts of it as well as context. Are they still a threat? Most likely. Do they represent everyone in the middle east or of Islamic faith? Heck no.

Can you point me to the imams that have denounced these statements?

That hardly qualifies as mainstream media. Though I am glad to see it.

The point is, those who would speak out against this imam aren't running to CNN to do it. There's no PR department to make sure the proper response is published. You always say that Muslims aren't doing enough to denounce this kind of thing, or they are willfully ignoring it because they all hate America (or something like that). Can you entertain the idea that maybe things are happening that aren't being covered by whatever news sources you frequent (or in English at all)?

Ask Bin Laden how those threats worked out for him in the long run. A think a bullet through his head speaks volumes for how it will end for everybody who attacks America.

Newspeople are bending over backwards to destroy the developing meme that the "moderate" Muslim is a myth. If there were an imam to come out and denounce this kind of vitriol, it would be shown everywhere.

I don't buy that. There's no need to destroy the "myth of the moderate Muslim" because it is bullshit anyway. And what does "moderate" even mean in this case? I have a feeling that the spectrum of politics in the Muslim world doesn't fit our left/middle/right continuum that we can't seem to think outside of. Anyway.

After 9/11, there was an outpouring of Muslim scholars that denounced terrorism and refuted much of Osama bin Laden's Islamic writings. A lot of it was even covered in the U.S. mainstream media. But this was 9/11. This caused two wars. Yusuf Qaradawi isn't going to open his next show by talking about one imam at al-Aqsa that has some shit to say about the US on youtube.

I have no problem disagreeing with you and I imagine you think the same way.

God dammit all to fuck. I hate agree to disagree. I am morally outraged and will dedicate my next sermon/youtube video to this subject.

Muhammad Ali is a terrorist.

It's fair to judge this Imam for his words and actions, fine. But it isn't at all representative of 1.2B other Muslims.

I can't believe some people in here actually believe that all Islamics share these same thoughts.

This is possibly the most ignorant post of them all. You're trolling, right?

So, if the mainstream media doesn't report an event, that event didn't happen? No wonder we're so messed up as a country. The mainstream media also didn't report Harry Reid taking $68k from Jack Abramoff in exchange for helping out Indian tribes that Abramoff represented. Does that mean it didn't happen?
