eggs are a reflection of chicken layer pellets and scratch going from 22 bucks for two bags to 40 bucks for two bags...it's almost not worth having chickens with the doubled cost in feed. I justify it by valuing them for pest control, composting and manure but even having chickens now the cost of feeding them has made it less worthwhile for sure. I'm undecided upon getting new chics in the spring

And just another reminder, when you lose something from all this, no one will feel sorry for you. I do however, feel awful for the people who were and are and are going to be affected that DIDNT vote for trump. You fucked everything up with voting for Trump.

It's been clarified that the freeze won't effect student loans, financial assistance to the poor such as Snap, rental assistance, Wic, and Headstart.

We shall see.
 
Apparently ICE has arrested many Native Americans and Brown skinned American citizens in their lastest deportation crackdown. If you are not white, your skin color is now grounds to herd you into detention and check your nationality later. My wife, (an Asian American citizen) is traveling to Taiwan in the spring and now worried about being hassled at customs returning home. There's going to be a lot of this for the foreseeable future.

They claim they are not targeting people at random, but by names and records. They say they are targeting specific individuals, but if they are bringing in legal people such as Native Americans, then it looks like they don't what they are doing and are in fact targeting random people because they look foreign or have dark skin.
 
Many people don't know Native Americans weren't granted citizenship until 1924....many are born on the reservation with no documentation or birth records. Some of the elders have never had documentation. They will slip through the cracks of Trump's racist purge. For the record, I'm not against deporting criminals who are here illegally. That's a good thing. Hassling brown people to find them.....not a good thing.
 
The new law racists are so high on allows deportation of any immigrant suspected of a crime. Under current law immigrants, including green card holders, can be deported after conviction. I recall reading about green card holders who have.lived her for years being deported over convictions of minor crimes like petty theft or narcotics possession. Still, operative word is conviction.

New law does not define suspected. Some racist figures brown skin and accent means the person must have done whatever, they are deported. No appeal. It has no age limit. It does not specify crime, anyone suspected of anything. A 12 year old who steals a pack of gum can be deported under this law.

The Eighth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits "cruel and unusual punishments," as well as other legal protections, could be cited to prevent the deportation of American citizens as a form of punishment.

My wife is the secretary at a middle school and was given a a protocol today if ICE comes to the school where there’s a large Hispanic population. They’re told to deny them entry unless they have a warrant.

This'll be way worse. They'll send them to Vietnam (or Mexico) or other countries where they can work for us as slaves.

And it'll be any criminal before long.

Trump has no idea what government does. When he issued freeze his press secretary couldn't say what it covered. All day long White House kept saying this that and the other exempted from freeze.
 
Received our bill for the 2nd semester of her school today....also received the grants and loans statement. With housing her cost is $89,950 for the year. We are paying $43. I almost threw up thinking about that after I saw the press conference from the whitehouse this morning. I feel bad for unemployment and medicare recipients.
 
Secretary of drunkenness pulled General Milley's security clearance and security detail and is investigating demoting him in retirement because Milley criticized Trump.
