They use to have an A & W not too far from Eugene on a pass through the Cascades. Can't remember the name of the little town. I presume it's still there. They've got an A & W in the Beaverton/Aloha area at a gas station if I recall right. And they use to have one in Seaside but it's long gone.
When I was a kid, there was an A & W in Oswego right near George Rogers Park. I hated it when they closed it. They had frosty root beer in a frosty mug with car hops on roller skates serving you on trays hung on the driver's window. Yum.

There is still an A&W at the corner of 82nd and Powell. It's a combination A&W and Kentucky fried chicken. I remember as a kid my dad and I going to the one on Sandy Blvd in the Rose City area and getting the glass jugs of Root Beer. Delicious.

Please pardon the religious reference, but at church we've been studying the book of Daniel, and Trump's self-worship is approaching Nebuchadnezzar levels ("I'll set up an image all must worship, and execute those who won't comply!).

It's tough for me to see how anyone professing allegiance to Jesus can also support this kind of idolatry.
err, I don't expect we will ever chuckle at all things the same.

I saw several Military and Republicans were appalled at Trumps decision. Especially wrong is Lindsey Graham, returning to his old form of sounding just like John McCain.

I fully agree with Trump, it is what I would do. I think he is acting exactly has he said he would, one of the prime reasons to vote for the man.
Yes the Kurd's fought with us, against Hussein, Iran, ISIS. It was in our mutual interest. Although I am not at all sure it was exactly in our interest to take on Hussein.
Probably not, more like and error.

How ever, there is not damn reason in the world to say we abandon the Kurd's. It sure as hell is not in our interest to fight the Turks, even if the Kurd's do, good buddies they may appear to be to some. I do not think we should view the Turks as allies, nor enemies , it simply depends on whom is the their enemy at the moment, We have no stake in the every on going tussle between Turkey and the Kurd's. Trump is right, bring the Troops home. If ISIS regenerates because the Kurd's, Turks, Syrians, let them, then we
may need to return for more ass kicking. But never stay.

Stay the F outta there. Not our problem.

Except, U.S. foreign policy created the problem. Just like in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, etc. Why do people ignore facts? The Middle East has been destroyed by U.S. foreign policy for decades.

You know the Turks used chemical weapons and nerve gas against women and children in Kurdish villages right? If they invade on their own, that's on them...to do so with the support of the American president is a crime against humanity waiting to happen. Bringing our troops home I agree with....buddying up to another dictator...not at all.

We're certainly guilty of arming middle eastern factions to fuel it and strong-arming control of the Canal there but blood feuds go back in that region way before we were ever a country...I don't think we have any business being there period but this didn't sprout from American political involvement at the source...it was already in place...currently it sprouts from Israeli-Palestinian issues as much as anything. That's where I'd start at a peace process in the middle east....one thing Jimmy Carter understood as an ambassador for peace in the region.

Are you seriously tell me, and everyone else here that we need to keep troops in Syria to keep Turkey from doing atrocities? My god man, when does this shit stop? Forget the answer to this, as I know the answer is no!
We had no troop in Syria before Trump became President. He sent them there to eliminate ISIS, thank goodness we had the Kurd's as allies while doing so. But if the turks, a Nato Ally are now to commit atrocities if we leave, what the fuck kind of deal it that?
No! Perhaps the world need to react, perhaps NATO. But no friggin way is it the US' responsibility to stay there for eternity.

not at all....I'm saying supporting their invasion with a green light is wrong..this statement by Trump has zero support within our armed forces, Pentagon, Senate, Congress...across the board. Just a dumb fucking piece of blunder to give this dictator a green light to invade anybody thinking pulling the troops out would play well on the campaign trail and not considering the consequences of his actions...now the Kurds will probably join with the Syrian resistance and there will be war with Russians and Turks....Turks not long ago poisoned a Russian official if I remember correctly. Trump has no grip on world affairs...it's dangerously obvious...Trump got played ..I'll bet the Israelis are on the phone with him right now.

And breaking news is Trump just reversed his decision after making those stupid tweets and threats......somebody smacked him upside the head and said NO WAY! whew...

Actually you did just say, the US needs to keep forces in Syria. I say bullshit. We went to eliminate ISIS. We got it close enough. We go. The Turks and Kurd's have been having their own war since before Jefferson built the first Frigate.

And is continuing to be destroyed. We are doing NOTHING good there and never have. We are there for resources, period.

No I said the opposite....I also said I never wanted them there....it's his support of the invasion....comprehension Marz…..you're fishing in an empty pond..he's bringing home 50 soldiers....just watched his news reel. They should come home...I've also said many times that boots are no longer needed on the ground...drones are the new soldiers. I do believe the Kurdish issue is one that requires NATO intervention if it gets worse.

Republicans coming out against this decision. But trump supporters in here all for it. Sheep.
Such a dumb comment. Gotta love the fake ass progressives crying because they can’t have more war and intervention. Looks like you found some common ground with the establishment Republicans, hooray for you. Blindly jumping on the Trump hate bandwagon even if it means putting our troops in harms way for nothing. The fact you could call people sheep for not wanting war is fucking absurd. Go enlist tough guy.

I like General Jack Keane.

Very knowledgeable guy.
But holy hell, if you follow his solutions we would have troops all over the earth and never really know why. Good man, but he always needs sovereign above him.

Ha. Hilarious. Your own Trump groupies think he is doing something stupid which says A LOT. If Mitch and Lindsay and Hailey think it’s dumb, it might be dumb. But Trump fan boys who STILL think their lord and savior making the right call is...pathetic.

mconnell: this a terrible decision
Graham: this is a terrible decision
Hailey: this is a terrible decision
Romney: this is a terrible decision
Trump, Turkey, Russia, Marist and Jonnyboy: this makes total sense

I’m happy not to agree with those war mongering dickheads. When did you start blowing the hard-right outskirts of the Republican Party? I haven’t seen this side of you before. I like how you are actually holding some of the worst Republicans in existence to a high regard, just to try and prove a point. It negates nearly every political argument you’ve made on here, and it’s hilarious.
