Getting nothing done. Gee. What a surprise.

I must be missing something. Where is the 10 million in cap room coming from with our dipshit GM doing nothing?
I am not defending Gorton at all, if anything I think he is worse than Sather, simply because at the very least Sather could trade well at times, but maybe Gorton is getting weak returns and that is why he hasn't made the moves. I agree that he has to be let go if Rangers have no connections and noone respects him, but perhaps that is the real reason.
Also, I was thinking maybe it is not GMs but the ownership that made GMs gave up all those picks, after all Dolan is the boss. Look at the Knicks, I realize that Phil Jackson is a rookie GM but he gave up first round pick also for Rose who is constantly hurt and only has one year left. Why? It is obvious Knicks will not win the championship next year, and they are not in the mini rebuild, they are in a full rebuild given have not made playoffs for a few years now. I don't know much about basketball, nor do I care, perhaps it works differently in basketball drafts, but I figured they should tank like Pens and others did and rebuild through the draft. Maybe Sather and Gorton are doing what they are told by the ownership.
Let's say Gorton makes a bad deal, then we will crucify him here on these boards. Nash and Stepan play huge role on this team, and I am all for trading both, but if the deal is not right, and noone want to give anything for him, then might as well keep both. It is what it is! I hate it too just like everyone else, but sometimes there is no way out when you dug such a huge hole.
This is where I disagree. If someone claims them off waivers when we call them up and we lose them for nothing, I'd still consider that a win as we won't be stuck with their albatross of contracts.Well yea but they need those kind of guys on 2 way deals if the there are a lot of injuries on D.
Demers had a good season last year I doubt he comes here to be the 7th dman
If Girardi and Staal don't want to move send them down, play Skjei, Graves and McIlrath who make a quarter of their salary. Might convince Dan and Marc that it's time to move on.
