Casey,

Here's a list of the players that will be in the green room tonight:

  • Devin Booker (Kentucky)
  • Willie Cauley-Stein (Kentucky)
  • Sam Dekker (Wisconsin)
  • Jerian Grant (Notre Dame)
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (Arizona)
  • Stanley Johnson (Arizona)
  • Frank Kaminsky (Wisconsin)
  • Kevon Looney (UCLA)
  • Trey Lyles (Kentucky)
  • Emmanuel Mudiay (Democratic Republic of Congo)
  • Jahlil Okafor (Duke)
  • Kelly Oubre, Jr. (Kansas)
  • Cameron Payne (Murray State)
  • Bobby Portis (Arkansas)
  • Kristaps Porzingis (Latvia)
  • D’Angelo Russell (Ohio State)
  • Karl-Anthony Towns (Kentucky)
  • Myles Turner (Texas)
  • Justise Winslow (Duke)
Of these 19 players, who, in your opinion will be the last man waiting in the green room for his name to be called?

BNM

Probably Looney, though that's the easy guess. Someone reported today that Cauley-Stein could be in for a steep drop, so he'd be my not-as-easy guess.

Who else did we offer Batum too and do you know for what? Someone tweeted we spoke with Detroit.

I saw that as well. If the Pistons offered the No. 8 pick, obviously the Blazers feel like Vonleh is better than whoever they could get at that range, though that's just a guess.

Thanks Casey: pass on to Batum that there are many fans who died a little when he was traded, and the ones that didn't don't know jack, so we can ignore them.
Will do. Thing is, Nic has always been honest with himself about his struggles. You can't say that for a lot of guys.

You probably can't say anything about this, but do you think a certain Lake Oswego native would be in the cards if worse came to worse.

I not Casey (obviously) but if you go strictly by Mock Drafts then it is Kevon Looney.

Although he (whoever he may be), will end up making way more money than I do, I always feel a little bit sorry for the last man sitting - especially if he drops all the way to the second round (Rashard Lewis). It's got to be agonizing and embarrassing to be sitting there, by yourself, while pick, after pick is called and it's not you.

Casey, do you think Batum would have re-signed here next summer? Or do you think he would have bolted?

Does LaMarcus understand the level of hatred that we have for the L*kers, and that by intentionally donning the Piss and Purple he'd be setting fire to his legacy as a Trailblazer?

I know they can't totally control it (anything could happen) but I think the NBA has (at least a little) learned from that scenario and doesn't invite too many people who they think will drop.

Delon Wright was invited and turned it down. Wise man.

Casey, when the Blazers "checked out" during the first round, did you think something drastic was going to happen?

Casey, although we know you can't address it, is there anything that you know is in play that we don't...I'm looking for a simple yes or no here

What can we get in trade from the Lakers forum for HCP?

I think he'd consider staying, but I think the bigger issue would be whether the Blazers would pay him what he'll want to be paid. Nic is still just 26 and still has another 4-year contract in him, and I'm guessing he's not going to have any shortage of suitors. Some would say that Blazers fans tend to overvalue their players, but in Batum's case, it's the opposite. He's much more respected outside of Portland.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure Rashard Lewis, with over $155 million in career salary and a championship ring, probably got over it.

I'm sure that after 9 seasons, LaMarcus is well aware of the disdain we have around here for the Lakers. If you're going to go, might as well make the full heel turn into villain.
