To start off, some Chad Ford Mock 10.0 action:

Ford on the Wiz said:
Finally, if Beal is off the board, the Wizards have talked to several teams about moving down to Nos. 5, 7, 8 and 9.
Hm...there's a number conspicuously missing from there...

Man, this is going to be my last day in grad school today, and I am pulling an all nighter trying to finish my thesis on time. I love this site because it's a great place to just take a break from my shit. Hopefully, I get this stuff submitted by noon today so I can chill for a few hours before the draft. PUMPED.

Congrats! I just finished my bachelors last week and also pulled an all-nighter on the last day. The adrenaline was pretty amazing knowing that it was my last day of college.

Blazer fans living on coffee!

Olshey can't get through this without our willing him on!

Can't wait. I've put my wife and daughters on notice that the Big Screen is mine starting at 3:55pm - and that I want tacos for dinner! I'm ready to go. Probably the only guy up here in British Columbia psyched and ready for the most fun night of the year! Go Blazers!

It'll be on ESPN3.com....

Doesn't that require that you subscribe to one of four national cable services? One is Comcast, so I can't watch games on it.

I'll be at BWW with father in law & ABM. There is speculation that Drummond is dropping. If we have to choose between Drummond & Lilliard, it'll be gut wrenching.

I don't think so; my buddy the Clipper Fan watches ESPN3.com for tennis, and he doesn't have cable at all.

Drove to work so I'll be home by 4.

Made a big pitcher of lemonade with fresh squeezed lemons from my tree.

Got fixings for a mojito to celebrate afterwards.

I'm on vacation in France right now and had a wonderful day swimming in the river under the Pond Du Gard with family. Hot sunny day leading into going out for dinner in a couple hours. I should arrive home around midnight, just in time to catch up on the blazer news prior to the draft kickoff around 1AM.

Ya know, the way Olshey talks it sure sounds like we will be drafting BPA, but probably for another team. He stresses that this roster will have question marks after the draft, and this is just a step. Sounds to me like we will trade out of the draft, or trade the picks we make later on

Draft day . . . after trying to catch up on all the buzz, rumors, and trades, I get this strange feeling the Blazers aren't being very active. Does Olshey realize PA opens up the checkbook on draft day and is very open to wheeling and dealing.

I get this funny feeling Blazers will take their 6th and 11th pick and call it a day. Maybe that isn't all bad, but I sure wish I at least heard some buzz when it came to the Blazers trying to make things happen.

I'm reading all the news sites right now. I got my links bookmarked and my radio plugged into ESPN radio.

Those fucks at Comcast are SORRY they kept moving my bill up and down.

I know they're missing me!

That espn site has New Orleans pick showing, with 'Chad Ford's Best Available' as Anthony Davis, then Damian Lillard. Huh?

Their team needs are listed as (in order) PF, PG, SF. The best available has Davis listed under overall, he fills the PF need, therefore PG is their next need. Lillard is under PG.

In Ogden UT on vacation. Thought about going to the draft party at Weber State, but realized that Lillard is probably in the green room. Wife and kids going horse-back riding so I can watch the draft in peace.

Yep. Odd way to show it. If they pass on Davis, I doubt they would go with Lillard because of team needs.

I'd be surprised if the Blazers don't have a little something up their sleeves. Maybe buying a late pick or trading their two seconds for a late first. I also wouldn't be surprised if the #11 is in play, but I think they will keep #6. It may not be super exciting, but I think it's the right course of action. Earlier this summer it sounded like the management was convinced we could "reload", now it sounds like they are more realistic and we need to "rebuild". So keeping our picks isn't super sexy, but it's a good thing!

Personally, I think keeping the #6 is fine, as someone good will be there. I would see how tough it would be to turn the #11 into the #8 or #9 in case Drummond slips. He may not be worth our #6, but I would still roll the dice on him if the price was a little less.

I hope so. I hope at some point this afternoon, PA is cutting a check for 3 million to sweeten the Blazers draft day.
