The "what center do you want" thread caused me to do a youtube search for some players, and the one above was one of the ones I found.

Not to be confused with Mamadou N'Diaye, a former NBA player, this is a college kid at UC Irvine.

Not saying he's a stud or a 1st round talent. He's 7'6" and I was wondering if he was a potential late 2nd rounder or FA (if he comes out this year).

Maybe he's a stiff, I don't know. Thus why Im asking.

I love the concept of a 7'6" dominate center. One center to rule them all......this man though I don't think is him :( With that size alone, if there was solid talent or athletic ability he should be a double-double machine. I have NO idea how the Anteaters used him, didn't watch a single game from them...but I got to imagine if he was a prospect he'd have put up something better. Besides, he'd KILL the Blazers FT% :p

do we have any picks this yr? I thought we traded all our 2nd rdrs for the next few yrs at least and Char of course gets our 1st

No we do not. But we do have a couple trade chips and a boatload of cash (PA) at our disposal. Should be enough to get a pick if we really want to.

Boatload of cash does nothing. We're restricted to $3 million annualy.

I saw the 7'5" center for New Mexico State play live in Spokane in the NCAA tournament. He impacted play, and San Diego State had trouble with him. Worth a 2nd round pick for some team.

Almost any non white American born centers from Syracuse are worth a look

He moves extremely well for someone that size. His mobility and speed are at least on par with Hibbert IMO.

But so did Ha Seung-Jin.

Does he have any level of understanding/feel for the game?

The Cal-Irvine guy is fairly crappy. Sim Bhullar from NMSU actually looked to be somewhat coordinated, although he has a 1' vertical, max. He'll be 23 next summer for the draft, though, which is a negative.

You mean like a Shawn Bradley? I saw John Stockton floor him once, then again Stockton outweighed him by a couple of pounds.

No, like a gigantic human being. I was sitting 10 rows off the court, and that was the largest human being I've ever seen in my life. Not just tallest, but also largest.

EDIT - different player than the post that you were addressing.
