  • Trade #3 along with a player for a 'veteran'

  • Trade #23 along with a player for an upgrade

  • Acquire additional picks

The Heat had basically everything go right to get to the Finals. They don't have valuable trade assets. Maybe they can add DeLo from the Lakers for Herro. Both guys are inconsistent.

The Heat's best assets are Bam & Buckets, Period.

seems dumb, only way you are going to get Bam IMO is to overpay, lots of other possibilities IMO

forget 2023 first round picks in a Dame trade. It won't happen. Dame can't be traded until 3 weeks after the draft and he won't be asking for a trade by then
Yeah it reminds me of last year all these posters suggesting we trade Ant or Nurk in draft day trades before they were free agents.

I'd love to get Bam but I don't see how this is possible. He's the most valuable trade asset on a Miami team that just made the finals, the ECF as the 1 seed the prior year, and the finals two years before that.

Ant Nurk #3 and 3 future unprotected picks probably isn't enough. Only way I could see the Heat taking the phone call is if we throw in Sharpe. But then it doesn't make sense from the Blazers side.

Sounds like Fisher (who is normally very reputable) is carrying water for the Blazers.

Portland could say they tried, when it had almost no chance of happening.

Yep. Definitely seems like we're at least getting it well known that we're "trying"...

Do people really think Portland will use the media to convince Dame of anything, versus being in constant talk with him on team building?

you have to keep in mind that Cronin is incompetent and stupid...but extremely clever and devious. And Dame is smart and savvy, but gullible. So yeah Cronin is manipulating Dame into saying "duhhhh...ok!"

Last week he was saying Chicago would want more than 3 for Lavine. He's not carrying anyone's water. Just speculating based on whomever he spoke with that day.

Shams Charania is reporting the Celtics/Wizard/Clippers are working through a 3-team trade.

  • Porzingis goes to the Celtics
  • Morris and picks to the Wizards
  • Brogdan to the Clippers

Danilo Gallinari is also reported to be on the move.

KP on the Celtics actually makes sense

Brogdon on the Clippers might mean Ballmer hasn't learned anything yet

Just because David Stern absolutely milked it. This is the most dramatic moment in NBA draft history.

Edit: Oh shit Bill Simmons is phenomenal in this clip but in hindsight if you watch the whole thing it's seriously like Shane Battier is doing stand up.

One would think the Blazers could have gotten in on this one.

Did I miss something? I didn't see how this was dramatic. Looks like a routine announcement to me.

Kind of crazy the 30th pick brought back either Brogdon or KP, depending on how you view it.

We have #23.

over a 5 year period:

27 Pascal Siakam
29 Dejounte Murray
32 Ivica Zubac
36 Malcolm Brogdon

23 OG Anunoby
27 Kyle Kuzma
29 Derrick White
30 Josh Hart

24 Anfernee Simons
27 Robert Williams
33 Jalen Brunson
34 Devonte' Graham

28 Jordan Poole
29 Keldon Johnson
30 Kevin Porter Jr.
31 Nic Claxton
38 Daniel Gafford

25 Immanuel Quickley
28 Jaden McDaniels
30 Desmond Bane
34 Théo Maledon

you can find a keeper that late in the draft. Odss are against it but you can't get lucky if you don't roll the dice

Check that.... was in the car trying to put everything together.

It's a weak rumor.

Is there anything even still in discussions? Or we're just going to pick 3?
