It's a great interview and podcast. Makes me have an all new respect for Draymond.

Thanks for sharing....great interview! They both seem genuine, it was refreshing seeing that side of both.
I remember immediately after Durant worked out for the Blazers, he was interviewed on the radio along with one of the assistant coaches, afterwards and he said "Kevin Durant has the Eye of The Tiger". It didn't take long for me to see that for myself.
I think Green would be a great addition.

Yeah, if we had Jerami Grant, I'd totally be cool with Dray.

Dame, Norm, Grant, Dray, Nurk with a bench that rotates in Ant, Nas, Snell and Zeller... sign me up.
How could acquire both without giving up along with CJ, much more. You thinking RoCo and/or DJJ

Like I said, if that's the case then so be it. If Simmons does want to play with Dame though... you make that shit happen.

That said, your plan isn't a bad one at all if Neil is ready to make two splashy moves.

I guarantee you it's Dame that doesn't want to play with him...

@dviss1 was saying along with the trade that sends CJ out and brings Draymond back that a trade sending RoCo, DJJ and possibly draft considerations for Grant would be a good idea and I agree. I'd give up RoCo, DJJ and a first for Grant.

Damn... I feel like Dame prides himself in being able to work with anyone. You sure don't like Simmons. I think it's funny because I don't know, I just think the guy is getting a lot of slander right now.

Now you're the one using conjecture if you think Dame wants Simmons on his team.

Simmons said he didn't want to go to Portland or Toronto early in the process...only Calif teams...like I said...fuck him...he brought that on himself...I don't want anyone here that doesn't want to play in Portland period..

Simmons is soft minded. So much so he's afraid to shoot... So much so he doesn't use his 6'10" frame to dunk on lil' ass Trae young...

Dame needs to win now not have a reclamation project trading a productive player for one who mentally can't handle going to the free throw line.

This ain't no dislike for Simmons. It's an understanding that now, he's objectively suffering from anxiety when he shoots...

I'm sorry... That ain't a recipe for keeping Dame IMHO.

I don't want a 3 way deal that sends Simmons to GS either....I want Simmons to end up in Sacramento purgatory....we can trade Roco, DJJ and a pick for Draymond straight across without Philly....all this would take would be for Draymond to tell Kerr he wants to be traded to Portland...Roco is a high character guy and the Warriors are paying 190 mill in luxury tax...that's more luxury tax than any payroll for a team under the cap. They can't really afford Simmons contract in reality and neither can we

Now you're trippin. You must dislike Simmons more than I wanting to send him to SAC. LOL.

You know that GSW can do a deal without us right? They want Ben, they can get him without our help.

Why miss out on possibly getting Green? Why trade a starter for a guy who'd come off the bench? Wiggins Starts over him in GSW.

please point to that quote from Simmons. I don't think he's talking since the playoffs

maybe I missed it but the only speculation I've seen about that is from a bay area blogger talking about Simmons and 'night life'

Holy shit man. I don't know how many times I have to post this. This came from a guy named Jason Dumas who is a local Bay Area sports guy. A sports anchor for the local news station not even a network affiliate and has a radio sports talk show. Well like sports talk people do he was riffing about Simmons possibly coming to the Warriors. He then said that he heard from a source that Simmons is a California socialite. Then he extrapolated that gave California teams an advantage in landing him. Then Jason Dumas... not Simmons said that he didn't think Simmons would want to go to teams like the Blazers or Raptors. Dumas is also a Bay Area writer for B/R, so he wrote up his musings... quoting himself and that's probably what you saw.

Simmons hasn't said shit. His representation hasn't said shit. He might think he's too cool for us but you don't know that and Jason Dumas wasn't even saying he knew that. People need to try just a little harder to see if things are sourced before they just randomly put some shit on a player like they said, "Fuck your town!" or something.

@dviss1 and @riverman both of your slander game is really on point. You guys should keep that up.
neither dviss nor I wrote these articles so the slander would be your last post about us..you accusing us of slander?....also...I don't read all your posts here so you might post things many times and I won't catch them...I log on here and go to new posts...and weren't you the one proclaiming Lillard was demanding a trade and all pissed off at the team? That's been debunked as well...pot, kettle black..better to talk about basketball and just post what you want...disagree...fine ...I never bought all the doom and gloom but I don't want Simmons here at this point if he doesn't want to be here...simple..slander some of that...I didn't want Kobe Bryant here either ...we read what we read....I was all in on Simmons early in the offseason...now..no fuckin' way...this is purely my opinion and gut feeling...speculation..y'know...what everybody does here?

They're all using the Dumas story dude. You can go to his twitter and listen to the clip where he comes up with this shit. It's like three weeks ago. I actually posted it in one of the threads so you could try looking it up that way. Come on man... you're a sports fan. Figure out how this shit works.

Nope, never once have I said that Dame said shit like that. I just think that a lack of urgency on the part of Olshey in theory could really piss Dame off. That's it. I'm pretty sure you'd find it impossible to dig up a post where I put something on Dame that he didn't actually say. However, you just posted that Simmons said something he never said.

it's the echo chamber of media speculation. It makes it look like multiple sources but the reality is quite often that it's one person speculating, and multiple people taking that speculation and running it as if it's solid reporting. It's pretty obvious that the "Simmons doesn't want to go to Portland" is another example of conjecture becoming accepted fact. Certainly, at least a couple of posters here are invested in believing it.

And in this case, it's really easy to discern the agenda of the original speculator

I posted a Kendrick Perkins quote that didn't have any reference to your Bay area guy...

I not only bought that Dame wasn't bluffing when he said that because of the lack of urgency shown by this team he wasn't sure where his future would be. I'm still buying that shit. You're acting like we're out of the woods on this. Dame was the one that said the roster from last season wasn't good enough, even with Chauncey coaching it. We now have the same starting five and a bench that has all around mediocre players where there were once specialists. So I'm still worried that we'll lose Dame and that's all I've ever said... not that we were losing him or are but that we might and that's disconcerting.

Funny you do this in the forum. While using conjecture and making shit up as you go along because you hate Olshey.

hE MuST rEAllY LiKe cJ mOrE ThaN dAmE...

Fucking. Conjecture. Completely invented narrative... The bottom line is ALL of us are speculating....

I would love to have Green on the Blazers and I find the timing of that interview is strange now I might be reading WAY WAY too much into this aka over thinking shit but here goes:

Dame and Green looked like they were really bonding in the Olympics and maybe Dame got in his ear and got Green thinking while it's been fun running with Curry etc maybe it's time to bounce. Then he comes out with this interview throwing Management and Kerr a little under the bus. What I am saying is maybe we start to see Green go to the Warriors and say something like " Hey it's been real but maybe it's time for me to go and I would really like it IF you could work out a trade that would get me in Pdx "

This is where things get tricky cause honestly the obvious trade pieces does not work that well straight up doing a deal with the Warriors so another team would be needed and to be honest have not done much playing around to see what might work. Like i said i could be out of my mind on this but the next few months before training camp could really tell the tale on this. However I will go and make a BOLD and prolly WRONG prediction BUT Green will be a Blazer by this time next year .....

Kendrick didn't say he'd talked to Simmons either. It's all conjecture and you know that.

As far as you stating Simmons is soft... I don't think that's fair but it's just an opinion. Don't get me wrong it's the kind of shit people are calling slander these days even if it doesn't meet the legal requirement. Simmons had a series where he looked like he didn't believe in his ability to score. That's not up for debate. I would say that it's really foolish to base all of your opinion on someone's abilities on one series. It's a pretty small sample size and shows heavy recency bias. Not good ways of evaluating situations.

No speak of your Bay Area Guy. I think you need to face the fact that there are multiple sources... You're having bias now because you want that headcase...

I said Simmons is "soft minded". Quote my words correctly. If you are afraid to go to the line, and you don't dunk on little point guards as a 6'10" 240 big man, you are soft minded IMHO. Again, the man is seeing a Psychologist. Plus, the MF didn't shoot ALL SEASON. It just looked way worse in the playoffs... I used a holistic approach when forming my opinion.

These are Kendrick's words, you don't know where he got any of his info from. Plus, your Bay Area guy didn't say anything about being unwilling to report to training camp:

There's lots of talk about GSW wanting Simmons.

You guys dream about Green but with this useless loser Olshey we will probably get another Wenyen Gabriel
