QUOTE

Any suggestion that the Nets’ 2004 pick would ever wear a New Jersey–or Brooklyn–uniform faded Monday when the 6′-10″ Danish point forward was traded to Lottomatica Roma and signed a new three year deal that would keep him in Europe til he was 28. It’s not know if his new contract, like his old one with Virtus Bologna, has NBA opt-outs, permitting him to leave the Italian league for the Nets or any other NBA team.

Hey Anthony Parker came back when he was 30+, maybe Drejer can do the same after he develops his game.

Spend even more money to bring a 28 year old Drejer? unlikely...

There goes any trade value his rights had, too.

So you are claiming they are worth less than zero now?

So I guess we can't use his rights on the trade machine anymore

Sure you can, the Nets retain his rights if he is under contract with a foreign team.
