this was predictable if you watched these teams play the past two weeks. lebron is out of rhythm. AD is back to being a shrinking violet, and that team has no chemistry
Predictable the Lakers would win?

A little deja vu to begin the 4th. (1992 Lakers-Blazer game 1- Lakers keep their starters in and Blazers go to their bench. Momentum changed, the home-court advantage gone, and the championship was lost. Rest is overrated with all these TV timeouts and reviews.
I think you mean 1992. Blazers beat Lakers first round in 1992, three games to one.

Would have been sweet to see mighty Lakers having to fight for last playoff slot.

We beat the Lakers in Game 1 in 1992 and won the series. And went to the Finals. Last time we’ve been there actually. Last time we’ve beaten Lakers in a series too.

He obviously meant 91 WCF where we were up 12 going into the 4th but lost game 1

Yes you are correct. It was 1991, in a year they went 63-19, had the best regular-season record, and quickly lost HC advantage in the WCFs. I want to say they only ended up scoring 14 points in that last quarter after having a double-digit lead entering the 4th quarter.

Warriors with a 12 point lead at halftime, then did this in 3rdQ:

11:09.0 Turnover by D. Green (bad pass; steal by D. Schröder)
9:18.0 Turnover by D. Green (bad pass; steal by K. Caldwell-Pope)
8:55.0 Turnover by D. Green (bad pass; steal by L. James)
7:12.0 Turnover by S. Curry (bad pass; steal by K. Caldwell-Pope)
4:52.0 Turnover by S. Curry (lost ball; steal by A. Caruso)
3:34.0 Turnover by S. Curry (back court)
2:22.0 Turnover by J. Poole (bad pass; steal by L. James)
0:49.0 Turnover by A. Wiggins (lost ball; steal by A. Caruso)

and followed that up in the 4thQ:

10:39.0 Turnover by M. Mulder (lost ball; steal by A. Caruso)
9:03.0 Turnover by D. Green (bad pass; steal by K. Kuzma)
8:48.0 Turnover by A. Wiggins (offensive foul)
4:43.0 Offensive foul by D. Green (drawn by A. Davis)
4:43.0 Turnover by D. Green (offensive foul)
2:30.0 Turnover by S. Curry (out of bounds lost ball)
1:54.0 Turnover by D. Green (offensive foul)
0:01.0 Turnover by K. Bazemore (bad pass; steal by K. Caldwell-Pope)

15 fewer opportunities for Warriors, 15 extra for Lakers. 15 turnovers in a 2nd half will lose a lot of games

Lakers were playing excellent defense, but that was a lot of slop by the Warriors

Curry has been always loose with the ball. He has that behind the back pass turnover in Game 7 of the Finals vs the Cavs that was crucial in the Cavs winning that game.

Good point. He doesn't have Iggy or Livingston to help him out now either. I mean he is still an excellent ball-handler, but one of his many strengths is his constant movement without the ball. That is limited somewhat with their current roster.

LeBron hit an extremely lucky shot to win the game. It looked like a heave to me. I'd imagine he misses that shot 80-90% of the time. Just bad luck for Golden State.

True, it was a miracle shot but painful memory of Spurs Memorial Day miracle. In both cases a lead was whittled away. Otherwise those shots would be footnotes.

This is where Dame and Curry are so drastically different. Dame is a traditional lead guard. Someone who almost needs the ball in his hands to be at his best. Sure, he can play off the ball a little bit, but he's a primary ball handler. A floor general. He's a Kobe. He's a Jordan. He's an Iverson. I don't really see Curry like that. If Ray Allen was 3 inches shorter he might have been Steph Curry.

There were some really bad calls by the refs that all went against the Warriors.
+ The non-call foul on Lebron (blocking Wiggin's? dunk attempt)
+ The offensive blocking foul on Green when Davis ran into him and went flying (I think that was at the 4:43 mark in the 4th)
+ The offensive foul called on Green when he was screening Mathews & Wes flopped.
+ The non-call of the in bounds violation from the Lakers

Wes had a number of wiley veteran moves last night that helped turn the table in the game. It crushes me to see him play for that team...

This one was absolutely Blatant! Wiggins should have just picked it up and turned to shoot a lay in. If the ref said anything about delay you simply tell him to go look at the replay. LeBron dropped the ball and it hit his foot and rolled out into the court. If that is a side out and all eyes are watching it's a turnover.

They just said that the 2nd game tips off at "10 pm eastern".

Another reason why I love living on the west coast. Can you imagine having to stay up till 10 for the Blazer game to start!?

F' that.
I certainly know about that. I have the reality. You tube is my choice.

Lakers were the better team down the stretch by far. Aside from Curry and Wiggins right at the hoop, you could see none of the Warriors wanted to be taking shots. The moment was too big for their role guys and that happens quite a bit. I'd expect them to play much better

The Green hip bump on Davis was a foul and I didn't think Lebron had control of the ball on the inbounds. I get we all (minus HCP) hate the Lakers and just about every 50/50 call went their way down the stretch but neither of those were the wrong call. I agree Wes flopped pretty good and the Wiggins dunk probably should have been a foul called. At this point I don't get why everyone gets so up in arms about the Lakers getting calls, it's happened for DECADES!!!

Anyone know why Laker fans were booing Trez and LeBron at the free throw line?

...because the Lakers have the worst fans in the NBA, those were actually Warrior fans you heard. Just like early in the game when they were chanting MVP while Curry was at the line :biglaugh:

Congrats to Curry, one of the greatest 3 point shooters of all time, for making the playoffs again. His team, the #1 seed, will be tough to beat.
....
....
Doesn't he have a brother that also plays in the NBA?

That’s awesome
