OT Ducks land biggest hoop recruit ever

I will make a deal with you Bones. I will respect the Bulldogs and refrain from making any snide remarks about Few and your team. I will say good things about all your players esp. Hachimura (who is of course very good.)
But lay off Pritchard. Im a West Linn graduate and saw him play as he grew up. If he's not NBA quality.... Then he's not NBA quality. He has a bad game. He has a bad game. But I take more than just a passing interest in his career. It's more the hometown hero thing with me.

I've refereed Prichard since he was a 7th grader. He'll make it to the NBA. Mark my words.

Why would I be salty? You guys aren't going to make a Final Four with him, and then he's gone after a year. How am I salty when I'm saying Oregon underachieves in recruiting players?

He's Phil Forte.

He has way better handles than that cat and has a killer instinct that Forte simply doesn't possess. C'mon...

You might as well call him Aaron Craft because he's a white PG...

Lmao.

Pritchard doesn't have one skill that measures up top the NBA level (except shooting, maybe).

Duck fans overrate this kid, especially because he's a local product.

You literally just compared him to a white PG you picked out of the crowd only because he's white...

I think you're underrating him so.... :dunno:

Nan-in, a Japanese master during the Meiji era received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen. Nan-in served tea. He poured his visitor’s cup full, and then kept on pouring.

The professor watched the overflow until he no longer could restrain himself. “It is overfull. No more will go in!”

“Like this cup,” Nan-in said, “you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?”

I've seen Forte play a lot. He played 4 years there, and I've okayed against Pritchard and seen him play in person. The comparison want ignorant. Good, small shooters who aren't too great and anything else. They remind me of each other.

I've seen Forte play a good amount and again, they don't remind me of each other at all. I've seen Prichard do things that I don't think Forte is capable of.

Time will tell.

It's probably in the middle, still don't think Pritchard has a realistic chance at the NBA.

Title contender as in top 4 seed? Maybe..

RJ Barrett will have more of an impact on Duke than those 2 combined. This years Texas team could be compared to an Oregon team with Brown and Bol. Texas has Mohamed Bamba, Andrew Jones, Kerwin Roach, and Elijah Mitrou-Long and isn't even ranked.

Look at NC State last year.
We have better coaching than Texas and NC State. I trust Altman to raise the talents of lesser known names too, this is college basketball after all, it's not who has the best one and done kids, it's who has the coaching plus player leadership.

:roflmao: There's enough room for two HOF coaches in the NW, Bones. Just like there's room enough for two fanatic college fan bases on S2. Altman's recruiting battles are against guys like Sean Miller, Coach K and Calupari anyway. Gonzaga almost stands apart with its own system of discovering and developing players. And I can't think of a mid major coach that is more respected than Few. Both coaches have answers their critics. All that left is to meet up in March Madness!

He might be a 4-year-kid, but I don't think it's out of the realm that he develops enough to make a team one day. If he ever starts shooting like he did in HS then he's got a chance.
If he ever starts playing Oregon high school level competition that just might happen.

I just wish Few had the resources and the appeal of a high-major. Gonzaga would consistent contend.

I think Gonzaga and Wichita State started a conference. Them two plus San Diego State, SMU, Creighton, Saint Mary's, BYU, Northern Iowa, New Mexico and UNLV would be a great conference that would put 5 and 6 teams into the tournament. Would be like the "Big East" is now. Call it the "Big West".

Wait what??

Gonzaga already consistently contends. Due to their WCC ass conference (literally wack) they're always in the tournament.

Save last season, they then get to the tourney and get exposed almost every year.

Richie Sambora is a great guitar player. Bon Jovi still sucked ass though.
Tingle is a good player...coach's son....they need a point guard...Thompson isn't very good..Jon Bon Jovi was the poster boy....I don't know Sambora's work....pop music fluff to me

Well. I was just making a point. I mean, Sambora is technically proficient but I guess that doesn't make him great though. I mean Alvin Lee is considered great but I find 10 Years After tiresome and boring.

It's now called 4o years after I believe!

They always preform well in the tournament, so they're definitely good enough to be in, so don't say it's because of their conference. The past 3 years:

2015: Close loss to Duke in Elite 8
2016: Very close loss in Sweet 16 to Syracuse
2017: Very close loss in National Championship game.
They have 9 straight years with a tournament win.

Don't be ignorant. Gonzaga's conference and lack of recruiting power holds them back. They are the top mid-major program in the country.

The fact that two people liked this post is sad. And biased, cuz Ducks.

Luke Ridnour comes to mind.

I thought it was some kind of basket weaving reference :dunno:

Well technically, weren't some of the first makeshift basketball hoops using old farmstyle baskets? And that would be about the last time OSU was dominant in basketball.

OSU has the 3rd most wins over a single basketball team (UO) in NCAA history. Facts.
