OT Ducks vs. Beavs (i.e. Civil War)

Woah, onside kick recovered by the beavs

7 for 7 on third down. Not getting the defense off the field has been the story of every beaver loss.

Why were any of the first team defense even on the field at this point? Whoa... they got lucky there.

Cristobal had to tempt fate; now we got a guy injured.

Now a short week for the Ducks to get ready for the pac12 championship game.

First, kudos for the Beavers. They were out-gunned, but fought till the end.

Beyond that I have mixed emotions. It's great that an Oregon team will again have a shot at the Pac title. I just hope they can at least keep it respectable against a Utah team that has already proven they are better.

LOL....you're smarter than that shit

it's now 31-9 in the 4th Q. If the Ducks were as bad as that Utah game how the fuck could they have a 31-9 lead right now?

It's nice to see I am not the only one here who puts his foot in his mouth sometimes!

All kidding aside, can we at least agree the Beavs didn't quit and out-played the Ducks in the 2nd half?

"outplayed"?...maybe

26-14 is kind of an outplay, even when a team has 2 extra possessions in a half. But if that minor moral victory keeps beavs happy for a year, ok

Ducks have a bi-polar defense though. They have a aggressive pass rush backed by a passive bend-don't-break pass defense. Doesn't seem to mix well. They have been vulnerable in the center of the field behind the LB's all year. That was how the Beavs moved the ball in the 2nd half today. Of course, it doesn't help that their pass defending LB's, and starters, Dru Mathis & Justin Flowe were injured, as well as their two starting safeties, Bennett Williams and Steven Stephens. Losing Wright and Sewell during the game didn't help either

Beav fans don't read this: in this CW series, Ducks are 12-2 since 2008; and 35-11 since 1975

Just got back from the game. Was surprised Oregon was able to out rush OSU 231-85. Winning the LOS on both ends of the field allowed Oregon to control the clock and the majority of the game. Of course Oregon had to be totally unprepared for the onside kick, which was inexcusable, but that felt like a fairly dominate win by Oregon, which I didn't expect.

Not really about the Ducks of Beavers, but will impact them. Just saw Oklahoma's coach is leaving to take over USC.

That was horrible. Sports bar TV wouldn’t switch to the game until after it was 14-0. At least we outscored them from then on.

Every single time we are on ESPN, the previous game doesn't end until at least the middle of the first quarter. Every single time. This time, they joined the game with only three minutes left in the first. The bar probably had the option of switching to another ESPN channel, but I didn't since I had to record it and start watching a little later. It's maddening. Surely ESPN could adjust their start times so that doesn't happen every single time.
