@ABM - Sincere questions: Can you explain why his lies are not a disqualifier for you? I tried to watch his town hall but it was all so much BS - he's for DACA, doesn't know what QAnon is, Obama killed Seal Team 6, or his "healthcare plan", or his Covid test - I mean how can you take anything he says seriously?

And what I know about liars is that they think the truth is worse - so he knows everything is shit and that's why he has to spin an alternate reality.

What am I missing?

a lot of his supporters actually can't stand him, but think that by supporting him (or defending him, even about stuff they personally find reprehensible) is a way to 'own the libs'.

nothing more, nothing less.

Toddler threw a tantrum, got a cookie, and barfed it up.

Trump refused to do previously scheduled debate. Biden was willing to show solo but debate cancelled so he scheduled town hall. Then network rewards Trump by giving him free hour on three networks at the same time. And he blathers.

Karma is a good thing.

Scully lied about his tweeter account being hacked but Trump twisted that minor story like he always does. It's sad that the POTUS lies so much, common sense people seek a few truthful words.

Wow, just now reading about what Trump had retweeted on the bin Laden/Seal Team 6 matter. Why does he DO that?!!

As to DACA, healthcare, and stuff. I do believe he's been working on those matters.

To your questions, though, Trump is like the guy who has barricaded himself in a room (against the entire left leadership) and sets his guns ablazing. He's always been a fighter. Why he he sometimes finds the need to stretch, even fabricated, some matters is beyond me. I have no answer to that. One thing's for sure, though, I sure ain't voting for Biden. I don't want a country of 92 million programs.

Maybe it's the direct contrast with the orangutan, but I can't get over how good Biden looked last night. He was extremely interested in answering people's questions, and when he didn't he said he'd stay after and clear things up. ABC had a camera on him after they were done and Biden was still there talking with people.

I loved his response to how he would feel if he lost, "it means I was a lousy candidate..." Shows how genuine he is and how he's accountable, and takes responsibility. I disagreed with Biden a lot during the primaries, still think he can do a lot more progressive things in his campaign, but I go back to what Barack said yesterday about this. First let's get in office, let's try to keep the house, and maybe win the senate. Then, we can engage in legitimate debate about how far left the party should go. Joe absolutely embodies that and it's exactly who we need after this divisive asshole spews his bullshit every hour on twitter.

Was always gonna vote for Joe, but I'm actually gonna feel proud about it now.

Oh and about packing the court, I love how this is even an issue right now. GOP has been openly doing it for the past three years. Joe needs to just hold that over McConnell's head and own up to it. But he probably wants the swing voters not to get rankled, and not set precedence for this sort of thing when the GOP gets in this position down the line.

Trump is like the guy who has barricaded himself in a room

Dude???
No he isn't and this kind of rhetoric needs to stop. He is an abomination to this very NATION! Saying "Trump is Like" before your statement is the key here. He is not a powerful resistor that is fighting for the right. He is not Robin Hood who takes from the rich and gives to the poor. He is not some mythical creature who is fighting for the weak and defenseless.

Call a Spade a Spade and come back to reality. Trump is in this for himself and is looking for a way to pay off his $400 million in debt that he admitted he has last night.

Heh, right.

Sorry my analogies scare you in that way.

Trump is in it for himself, and no one else. Every answer somehow is about how he looks, what he did, or what people are saying he did or looks.

dj-donald-trump.gif He has always been insecure and spins shit for his own good. Time to read Mary Trumps book. IMO

Very true statement. Everything is politicized anymore and it’s because of 24/7 news and social media. No rest. Instead this climate is what radicles love because its win at all cost and take no prisoners, regardless who the parties leaders are. Tribal.
Im voting for Joe as I cant stand Trump, but I didn't vote for Hillary or Trump in 2016 because of the very reason I became and independent like many others are. Dems really pissed me off by coronating Hillary and its why we now will have a lifetime 6/3 conservative high court. Its a game like pro football go out and dominate you’re opponent and show no mercy. Tribal
Time for term limits on Congress and high court justices. Cant use the word supreme hardly anymore seems to religious.

But, they aren't owning the libs. They are just screwing themselves.

Trump is not a "a fighter"...he's a self-centered lying con-man, period.

If anything he is a runner and a coward. He has been running away all his way. He ran away from serving his country in the military, he ran away from facing the consequences of his actions, from facing the people he has swindled and wronged, from his debts, from reality. He is no fighter.

He is no fighter no indeed. A true fighter has heart. Trump has none.

I know that. You know that. And deep down inside, I think they secretly know that...but that's the weird thing about politics. People get stubborn over the stupidest shit.

I guess they feel if they are going to get screwed they might as well do so on their own terms.

It's kind of funny, since they seem to be unaware of the pendulum concept. They're trying to stack the decks now, but will be apoplectic if the D's did it or will do it.

It will be karmic justice if the D's win and they start doing the same shit the R's do now. Refuse to pass any R bills and then blame the R's for it.

I am sure the Dems will expand the supreme court at least enough to even it out when they get back in power. The Republicans will cry murder, though they have spent the last 8 years packing the court, stealing two liberal spots on the bench.

The Dems won't have 500 bills sitting unsigned like the republicans do. If the republicans offer something tangible the Dems will work with them at least.

Heh, right.

Sorry my analogies scare you in that way.
The only thing that is scary is a good portion of the country actually think this is plausible.
These are not analogies. These are simply a lack of basic common sense.
