I'd heard that name. I guess it follows. I just figured it was more recent post WW2. The only anti Semitic stuff I ever really saw or heard in my life was in movies.
When I was a kid we had no Blacks, no Asians, no Jews, no Latins. I only remember one German family and they eventually moved because the city didn't like Germans back then. We did have Catholics although we made fun of them. We also didn't like Italians. We had two Italian families in town, one was dirt poor and had one daughter who was my age and was virtually completely ostracized. The other family had a son one year older than me and he got treated bad but he was always in good spirits and that made us reduce our bad treatment of him, not eliminate but reduce. It was a very bigoted town.
