Dump Roy while we can.

Hey, I'm not saying he can't contribute, but I think the OPs hyperbole was a little ridiculous. I'm still waiting to see how his knees hold up. I'm glad to see he can still get by people, and he can obviously still score, but how will this kind of wear and tear affect him?

I think your hyperbole about Roy being finished, and that the Blazers should try to get rid of him or medically retire him, ridiculous as well.

I can understand your defensiveness, though. I do find it strange that you, among others, can't even enjoy this win. Then again, you're the chump who wanted the Blazers to tank last season so you would be "right" about Nate being a bad coach.

Obviously his career isn't over because he's still playing, but there's a chance it will be cut significantly short, and there's still questions about how his knees will limit his abilities. Should we be paying max money for a guy who might only be able to contribute 15 minutes a game for the rest of his career? Or every one in three games? I love what Roy has done for this franchise, and I think he still goes down as one of the best Blazers of all-time, but this team still has to look to the future, and if we start to see the Brandon that we saw earlier in the season again, it would be stupid for the team to hold onto him if they could shed his salary.

This team needs a leader. Brandon is their leader even if LMA is their best player. Too many internet doctors jumped to conclusions they know nothing about. I know I don't. I am just saying "make sure" before dumping him.

Edit: my dumb ass comment was not personal because I had no clue who believed what. I never take notes on who says what. I just know I was surprised when I read how quickly some of us wanted to get rid of him. You all may be right in the end....but again lets be sure before making a big mistake. And who said he could never play D?

Some fans don't deserve Roy, but yet there he is carrying the red and black to a win.

Yep. We don't agree on much, but I'm with you on this one 100 percent.

Haha you're in a mood tonight. Why don't you go start another thread bashing Andre Miller?

Oh, and I'd like you to find a post of mine where I said they should medically retire him? I absolutely think they should explore different avenues of trading him. The team needs to protect itself.

It's not like this was an appreciation thread buddy. This was a thread aimed at calling out people who have had doubts about Brandon. The OP even went so far as to call us "dumb asses". I'm not pissing in a thread, I'm defending my point of view.

You don't deny mitigating joy or being a wet blanket and a debbie downer then? Because you are and we can't not read your posts. I CANNOT IGNORE YOU. Know the power you wield and be the better man.

I'm fine with Miller. I owned it on this board. He played well tonight, but struggled late in the game because I think he got tired.

Feel free to leave the thread whenever you like.

Leading Roy basher my ass. All I've ever done is offer my real honest opinion about him ... an opinion founded on reasonable evidence.

I'm happy he played well tonight, but I think the over the top hyperbole and the notion that somebody not being overly optimistic about his long term future makes them a "hater" is bullshit ... IMO.

Looks like it worked. :)

Although I'd say you had more negativity than just "doubts" about Roy.

No no, if you think Roy is done or less of a player due to his injuries, it's hyperbole, you're not a true fan, and you need to stop talking in a thread calling you out and questioning your intelligence.

Glad to see that mods are humans, and can muck about in the gutter of sarcasm and sniping with the rest of us plebes. :ghoti:

One of us! One of us!

You're absolutely right. I've had doubts about Brandon. I still do. What's your point?

I think we should all just enjoy this win over a division rival. We have a tough stretch and needed this win. Brandon played well tonight, we were under maned and needed a lift. Roy might not be there every night but he is a good player when he can play. We are all blazer fans and lets just enjoy this win. Lets go get the hawks on Sunday!

Yes! Totally agree.

I'm enjoying this win just fine.....but I'd be lying if I said it erased all my doubts about Roy.

This is what I felt like prior to the flurry of threes at the end of regulation.

lol! I admit to giving up to listen to some George Harrison (Isn't It A Pity) and drown my sorrows; when the song was done, there was a minute left.
