...the only MVPs to be eliminated from the playoffs before they receive the award. MVP is always given out during the second round (even though it's voted on three weeks earlier) and usually, it is presented to the player on their court before a playoff game. But with Dirk, they had to give it to him at a press conference because he had already been eliminated from the playoffs by the Golden State Warriors. Meanwhile, this year's Thunder are on the ropes! Stay tuned...

So if the Thunder loose in round one does Durant go back to being more like Dominique Wilkins?

Memphis up 3, with momentum on OKC's side.

Wouldn't it make sense for MVP to be given out after the finals, if lebron wins the finals ei the heat and okc gets bounced in rnd 1 I would argue he is more deserving of MVP than Durant. Now if it's strictly MVP of regular season then I'd argue that playoff MVP is a more impressive title. Not saying who ever plays best in playoffs should be MVP, but wi a close race and many good ppl like griffin la lebron and Durant all in the playoffs....

Make sense?

There's a regular season MVP and an NBA Finals MVP. Both are impressive.

Lol I wasn't born yesterday, I know there is a finals MVP as well. I just think regular season MVP should extend through the playoffs. MVP of the year 13-14, 14-15 etc...

Probably just saying this so I can make an excuse for Aldridge as MVP, lol!

Memphis I can see winning the series if Westbrook and co don't pick it up. Dallas and San Anton, ask me in a week.

I hope the Spurs move on. I don't really want to face the Mavs. We haven't played well against them in a long time.

I have tunnel vision with the Blazers: Right now, I'm only focused on Game Three.

As for OKC, they have to wake up. Memphis' game was built for the playoffs. It's slow and grinding. OKC obviously isn't taking them seriously. I think that 17-0 run, however, might have woken them up, even though they lost.

MEM has to win Game Four, otherwise, they'll lose in six.
