Kevin Durant tells CJ McCollum to get out of his feelings about the Demarcus Cousins signing. "Don't worry about what happens at the top"

....

CJ "We were right there below number 1 and number 2"

KD: "And how'd you play? ... Like an 8 seed"

....

KD: "So you didnt want Nurk?"

Bet he wouldnt bring that same energy when talking to Dame.

Talking shit about the Blazers, even throwing Nurk under the bus. Granted, CJ makes fun of the Blazers every now and then as well, but still.

I also think CJ is basically setting himself up here, while at the same time he couldve easily shut KD up. Dude is being witty while standing on Steph's shoulders.

Would love to hear Dames reaction. Not too happy with how CJ handles it either.

Durant has turned into a giant douche who goes out of his way to defend himself and attack anyone he thinks has a problem with him. For gods sake the guy gets into random fights online all the time.

turned into, or is finally showing his true self?

Im not sure if Im more annoyed by KD being all kinds of tough now, or CJ just going along with it a bit.

Durant was already a douche in OKC. A lot of people cluelessly assumed his generally quiet demeanor meant he was a good guy. I always saw him as the prick he's become more comfortable showing himself to be.

Also:

Fuck Kevin Durant

CJ is soft like those crepes. Always been soft. The cool guy facade was easy to read through, especially when it seemingly appeared out of nowhere once he got playing time.

How annoying was it that CJ hardly stood up for himself, dude sounds defeated. Kind of hope they can swing him to Minnesota for Butler.

If you are the host of a show there is a professionalism and standard that must be held.
I’m fine with how he handled it. We don’t need CJ being the up and coming douche do we?

Except it didn't.
There was a report during CJ's rookie year that this 'cool guy facade' you call it rubbed Aldridge the wrong way in practice.
CJ's always had a little swag/cockiness to him. Going back to college.

This topic always comes up once a summer and it has to be pointed out to people(not just you) that CJ has always been that way. Then people are 'oh'. Last year I provided the article, this year I just don't care enough to find it again.

It's interesting--he's got a rep for being a real smack talker on the court, but I find CJ's podcast to be so vanilla-bland as to be unlistenable. I can understand him wanting to bring a sense of professionalism, but you compare him to, say, Jalen Rose, and it's not even close. Rose is super smart and really funny.

Durant is easily the biggest "get" CJ has had on his podcast, so I can understand him not wanting to alienate him. Durant wants a nice, easy softball interview, which is why he's been on Bill Simmons so often. I enjoy Simmons, but the message is clearly out there that if you want Durant to come on the show you basically have to coddle him.

Part 2 is great. KD opens up a bit more and he brings up the idea of CJ coming off the bench. Reaction was interesting.

Wow, yeah, that is interesting.
KD: Could you envision yourself as a 6th man?
CJ: At the end of my career...
KD: But in the prime of your career, you couldn't be a 20 ppg scorer off the bench, way you scoring now?
CJ: I could do anything, but I'm not going to put myself in that position
KD: So you wouldn't do that on a winner?
CJ: Define "a winner"? I'm winning now--I made the playoffs 5 straight years!
KD: That is a crazy mindset to have...

We are a joke, the perception of Durant of our team is the the reality that only Lillard and McCollum can't see.

I'm fucking tired of being threated like a child by the Giants of the NBA, I WANT A REAL SUPERSTAR.

DAME won't answer to Durant because he knows he got his ass beaten by Jrue Holiday and Rajon Rondo.

Hidden uncensored podcost of CJ's mind as follows.

CJ: Well not all of us have the mindset of leaving a team, to join another team which won 73-9 and came back from a 3-1 deficit. Which team did they come back on again KD?

Listening to #2 - and KD sounds like Neil about the playoffs. "You did not have no snipers"

I listened to #1 - and I am not sure why KD is a douche or whatever. He does not believe the Blazers as currently constructed win a championship. Who here does?

Yeah, KD is a bit cocky, but most of it sounds like trash talk with some brutal honesty thrown in. CJ does come across like the nerdy kid trying to suck up to the popular kids. The Nurk comment was stupid and he will regret that one. cj wasn’t thinking.

KD is a 7’ douchebag.

But I sure wish that he played for the Blazers.
