When I first moved to Taiwan in the early 80s the only toothpaste was this stuff from S. Africa....few years later they changed the logo

Theres a video making the rounds where this same commercial took place in italy 9ish years ago.

But the woman has a hairy italian guy, she puts in the washer and out pops a ripped black guy. And shes all excited.

Shit like this is funny to laugh at. People that are getting offended really need to lighten up. The intentions of these commercials arent malicious.
 
You have to realize that in Asia, darker skin is frowned upon, even getting a tan. There are whitening creams, people wear umbrellas, etc. White skin is an indication of beauty, wealth, intelligence and youth. Dark skin is an indication that you're a savage that has to work outside all day.

Like I've said, asians are probably the most racist people on the planet. They even hate other Asians (Chinese hate Everyone, Japanese hate Chinese, etc)
 
For real. My stepmom is vietnamese. She yells at me when im outside for more than 10 minutes. Hella annoying.

When my dad went to south korea with her, they treated her like shit and my dad like gold. He said it was pretty awkward.

Same thing with Hispanic people. The lighter skinned European blooded Hispanics hate the darker skinned mixed Mestizo Indian blooded Hispanics.
 
And blacks and hispanics hate orange people.

Its social commentary of standards of beauty. In the US the black man would be desired and the asian man relegated as a nerd or not sexually appealing. People are blown away in the West seeing an asian male sexualized like this.
