Dwight unhappy in Houston

Easy yes from me and I hate Dwight. But he's criminally underrated in this thread

He is on his way down as a player. averaging 13 points, lowest rebound #'s since his rookie year AND he's only getting worse. I think saying he's "criminally underrated" overrates him a lot. He's not worth getting for what will amount to 56 games (since he can opt out this summer and probably will).

Let someone else fall for it.

Agreed. However, Portland could be a nice 3rd party to help grease a trade...

He's averaging 13 points per game, because his usage rate is down considerably. To generically look at PPG and say decline is covering half the story, but whatever.
Per36, his rebounds are above his career average, and better than all but 5 of his seasons. His ORB% is the 3rd highest he's ever had. his TRB% is at or better than his previous 3 seasons. But raw rebounds? Sure. Ignoring last year, which he is better than, his raw rebound numbers are off. But again, ignoring minutes played conveniently. 5th highest TS% he's ever had. 6th best BLK% of his career. He's underrated by people because of his personality, and they're going to ignore how good of a defender he is, and look at raw numbers to try to bag on his offense.

A guy like him in the middle would help hide Dame and CJ so well on defense.

Too bad Neil would never pursue him

I fall into the camp of....not liking the guy and doubting his health and character...he's a great player for what he does but my reasons for disliking him are as valid as his numbers are for liking him.

Houston takes 32 threes a game. They've bought in to the pass it around the 3pt line until someone gets a good look style of basketball. When you have a system that takes so many long shots, a guy that gets offensive boards is huge. I think he's doing that for Houston. He'd be great for us, another superstar, easy baskets from the half court offense, make teams pay for guarding the 3pt line.

Plus the guy screwed over HCP's favorite team.

Dwight would never come here even if you guranteed him a championship. He's a big market type of guy

Oy Vey. I have to admit. There are a few times I'm glad Portland doesn't attract HUGE EGOS.

Yeah, I bet you he wants to play in LA under the bright lights.. Oh wait....

To be fair, Dwights never had a good leader inside the locker room, and maybe Hardens lack of leadership is why Dwight diesnt want to follow his "lead". We all know Kobe can be an awful teammate as well, so maybe it's not all Dwight. I'd entertain the idea of him coming here. I think Lillard would be a great leader for him and I think he'd like Portland.

LOL

Dwight is unhappy everywhere.

And everywhere is unhappy with Dwight.

Does Stotts even know how to use a center like Dwight?

Does Stotts know how to use Dwight in a way that Dwight would be happy with his role?

Maybe it's more fair to ask if Dwight would be happy with his role in Stotts' offense. Because the Blazers sure as shit shouldn't try to change their offense to accommodate him.

Other than that, if you could get Dwight Howard for some of our disposable assets you pretty much have to do it.

What have we got to lose?

If anyone could bring DHo into the fold and make him feel part of the team, it's Damian Lillard.

Mmmmmmm... Delicious tears...

Delicious Tears of a Clown. :)

Theyv been teammates for 3 years and now Howard is unhappy with Harden? I think thats overblown. Unhappy with the way he is used and way the team is playing I can buy but suddenly behind unhappy behind Harden after there being no whisper of this before seems suspect.
I also cant believe Moray would trade Howard unless he gets an multiple allstar type player in return unless his knees and back are worse then theyv let on.
I can see a scenario where Houston knows his body is worse then most know so they spread a bs story that has nothing to do with how he is playing/holding up to maximize value but thats the only way I see this story being right
